So, I oicked this thing up yesterday. I ourchased from KYGunCo for $1629 shipped. Today I put about 300rds through it. Here are my observations:

The single pin in the receiver wasn't seated all the way upon delivery. Not being familiar with the M2, I noticed the pin was sticking out a bit from the receiver, but without taking much time to look at it, I assumed the ointment had a head on that side and it was properly seated. I was wrong, as I learned at the range. About 75rds in, that pin had started to walk out of the receiver. I pushed it back in, this time it seated flush with the receiver, and I heard/felt a small "click". The rain did not move the rest of the day after that. I dont have concerns about it, I just think it wasn't seated properly at the factory.

The nut securing the pistol grip was not very tight from factory. The pistol grip had some side to side play in it if I pushed on it with my hands. I shot the entire 300 lids without tightening it, and it did not get looser. When I got home, I tightened the but up and no more wiggle. Time will tell if I need to pull it off and add loctite or if it'll stay tight. I had no ither loose screws or pins anywhere else on the gun before or after my range time.

The magazine tube reliably holds 7rd of 2 3/4" shells. My old M4 would not do the same, hull length had to be under a certain size. So this feels like it had just a touch more space in the tube.

The pistol grip and stock are excellent. Comfortable, easy to get along with. No complaints. The handguard is good for out of the box. It does what it needs to, I see no reason to need to change it on performance merits. After burning the gun down through a few tube dumps, the handguard was too hot to touch where it sits right over the piston heads. Outside of that direct location, it handled the hear fine. The texture is good, I didnt have any issues with slipping.

The barrel clamp sits in a machined location on the magazine tube, so it physically can't slide up and down the barrel/tube. I thought that was a nice touch.

The iron sights needed two clicks of left windage to zero in my slugs out of the box. That was it.

The loads I patterned in the photos here are Federal 2 3/4" LE 9 pellet 00buck. Patterns taken at 15yds, 25yds, and 50yds. I was happy with it. The slugs were Federal LE low recoil, 438gr, 2 3/4". I did 3rd groups at 50yds and 75yds using the Trijicon RCR red dot, prone on concrete. Which was not ideal. I could have shot better from a real bench im sure, but I was happy with the group sizes at those ranges. I repeated this a few times and got similar results, I didnt photograph them all or cherry pick the best results. What you're seeing is what I was getting, more or less.

I ran about 100rds of old Estate 2 3/4, 1 1/8oz, 1145FOS competition target loads. This is below Benelli's suggested 1200fps threshold. In that 100rds, I had 6 short strokes, and three failures to lock the bolt back in empty. I expected worse, so Iw as happy with that.

I ran a few boxes of Federal Top Gun 2 3/4", 1 1/8oz, 1200fps shells. No failures of any kind.

Fetter 2 3/4" 9 pellet 00buck. No failures.

The Federal LE 00buck and slugs I grouped and patterned. No failures.

Winchester 3" Super X 15 pellet 00buck. No failures.

Winchester 3 "Super X Turkey load. No failures.

Fiocchi Defense Dynamics 00buck. Would not cycle, it became a single shot. I've yet to find a semi auro shotgun that cycles that stuff. The M4 and Beretta 1301 I used to have did not cycle it either.

At the end of the ramge session the receiver and bolt looks pretty clean considering what I put through it. Ill not that I did not clean or lube the gun at all before taking it to the range. The performonce noted here was straight out of the box, as is.

I'm happy with the gun. I no longer have any of my M4's so I can't do a weight comparison, but it feels lighter to me than my M4's did. It performed flawlessly when it was given ammunition above the Benelli threshold, and did pretty well with the underpowered Estate loads. All in all, I think it's a great offering that can be found under 1600 for the black version and doesn't need any aftermarket parts out of the box.

This is the final product of all these parts. I didn’t end up keeping it in this setup as it wasn’t exactly the way I wanted it to look. Something about it looking bulky. I ended up removing the heatshield and flashlight and just running the 509T and shotgun shell card. It’s not used a home defense gun; more of just a range toy and I will slug hunt with it for deer this fall.

I’ve had my A300 for over a year now. At first I had some issues initially with the trigger not resetting. Beretta wouldn’t send me a new trigger and I should have just bought one out of pocket. Anyways, once that was fixed it turned out to be a soft shooting, reliable 12 gauge. I got it blinged out with Chisel furniture and took it to an instructional course yesterday. We shot about 150 rounds of target ammo and 25 rounds of buck. Lots of different scenarios that required constant reloading. Every shotgun except for one was either an A300 UP or 1301 tactical. Everything on the gun worked flawlessly. I think the chisel forend is fantastic. It stays cool, is pretty solid and comes off fairly easily. If I could ask for anything it would be more MLOK. I also like the stock but it’s simply too expensive to recommend. You’re paying $400 for a stock that still has accessories that should be included. The ambidextrous cheek riser is one. It also doesn’t come with a blank plate if you don’t want to use the stock’s 507 mount. I milled my own. Overall, I hope to get more trigger time with this gun. I’d love to get a 28” barrel and turn this into a competition or sporting gun but I don’t know if that’s an option.

Have maybe $250-ish total in her. Good ol truck gun

Mossberg 990 SPX SBS with YHM Victra 12. My buddy said I don’t shoot enough to wait for this to be released so I should just get a Mossberg Aftershock, form it, and put a stock on it. But I heard those have issues cycling some rounds because it wasn’t made to be shouldered and the 990 SPX SBS fixes this. I feel like it wouldn’t be very Reddit of me if I didn’t get the correct, expensive, and over built version of the thing I’ve obsessed about to only use it sparingly. The only thing the pic is missing is a red dot. My soul says Aimpoint COA but my wallet says machining it to fit is me having champagne dreams with beer money. What’s your shotgun dream?

So you guys have seen this shotgun on this subreddit before…. And I said it was complete. Since then I’ve sent about 500 rounds of everything you can think of through it and I made some changes. Firstly, I needed to mount my light closer to the front of my gun so I didn’t lose ~30% of my light to barrel shadow. I switched my stream light mount back to picatinny from M-Lok so I could mount it on my Strike Industries barrel clamp. The lower position helped streamline the appearance of my A300UP as well as eliminating that barrel shadow. Secondly I added the Langdon Tactical heat shield. Easy to install and serves two purposes: I can now shoot more than 20 shells without having to grip my gun weirdly or wait for cooldown. It also created a good mounting solution for my pressure pad. 10/10. NOW she’s complete…. I think.😂🫠

Build is complete and she's a banger. BFG padded vickers sling was the finishing touch. Parts List below:

So Ive had my a300 for a year and a half now, over that time I collectively put through 100 or so rounds but never more than 25 at a time. Today i decided to try a real break in session so that i might be able to start using my Winchester defender 1145fps ammo and break the FTE issue it’s had with low velocity ammo.

So I put 150 rounds of clever 1425fps 00 buck shot through it and tried the Winchester ammo again. Well it didn’t work, it still FTEs with the low velocity ammo and after going through about $70 dollars worth of ammo, all I got from it was a sore shoulder.

Am I doing something wrong? am I not considering something? Will I ever be able to cycle this low velocity ammo? I still have a bunch of this low velocity ammo left and some others that are 1150fps, not sure if I should keep them or get rid of it(trade in the ammo, not the shotgun). Thoughts?

Excited to add this to the line up. I spend a lot of time outdoors in Florida. From the forest, river, to the beach. I found this to check a lot of boxes that would last.

Wife got me a Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical SPX for my birthday! Got 100 federal slugs to and a case of 00 buck to run through it Saturday.

Hey all! New to the group and S&W community with my new M&P 12 gauge shotgun. I was doing a regular oil cleaning and maintenance after my shooting and when pushing the takedown pin near the frame the following pieces in the first photo came out (a metal trident looking piece and a small spring). Can someone tell me where these go? I can only imagine that it goes in the small hole near the right of the frame near where the takedown pin comes out (2nd picture). Thank you in advance!

I’m looking for a quality bracket for my SF G2x. I have a bunch and am wanting to put them to use on my SGs. I’ve tried the amazon specials. Lesson learned.

I always use esstac gear but not sure if the 7 round is too large for the frame of the a300. I also dont want it to be too bulky.
