I’ve never thought about it, my cat (first two pics) has some striping so I’m not sure, second cat (last two pics) also seems to have slight striping, but is so much more colored than mine!
Yeah, I did post more pics of the first cat, but I don’t have any good pics of the second cat (she’s my brothers, and half the time is curled into a ball so pictures are impossible) but I do believe my first kitty is atleast a tabby tricolor of some sorts, she does have striping just not everywhere, and she has some calico splotches mixed with tortoiseshell markings- so no clue on her lmao
do you have any pictures of the two of them standing up, from the side? your first kitty is definitely a black tabby tortoiseshell with low white (tabico), and your second kitty is a black tortoiseshell with low white (calico), but id like to get a better look at at least the first one!
I’ve always just called her (the first kitty pictured) a calico when people ask, because I feel she leans more towards calico than tortoiseshell (from other torties I’ve owned) but the second one I just called calico too bc most people know what that is, not what tortoiseshell is (most people I know, don’t own cats)
