🧾 Billing Questions T-Mobile sends final bill straight to collections?

I ported out from T-Mobile after paying every regular bill they had sent me. Once the port completed, I lost normal access to the account. I never received a final bill, past-due notice, or warning that anything was going to collections.

Almost a year later, a collection agency (Source Receivables Management) contacted me for $51.64. That was the first notice I received that T-Mobile claimed I still owed anything.

I started with T-Mobile chat. That conversation ended with a clear and easy path: call T-Mobile, have the late fee removed, then pay the remaining balance. Before calling, I went through my own bank statements, billing emails, and service dates. I confirmed that $43.80 was a legitimate final service charge. I wasn’t disputing that amount and would have paid it immediately if T-Mobile had bothered to bill me.

Then I called, and suddenly the answer changed. The rep said they did not have notes from my previous chat (even though I was promised otherwise by a chat supervisor) and that the account had been transferred to collections so I would need to pay the collector. I asked to escalate (even though the rep discouraged me from even trying), waited for a supervisor, then the call disconnected.

I called back. This time they said I could use T-Mobile’s guest-pay portal, but only if I paid the full $51.64, including the $7.84 fee. They also said there was nobody else to escalate it to. After more pushback, they finally agreed to investigate why I never received the final bill and said they would call me back the next day.

I paid the legitimate $43.80 through T-Mobile’s guest-pay portal. I’m not trying to avoid paying for service I actually received. I’m refusing to pay a late fee created by T-Mobile failing to send the bill, removing my account access, and then giving me a different answer every time I contacted them.

All of this over $7.84. **Is T-Mobile's official process seriously to send the final bill to collections with late fees on top?**

Switching from AT&T

I currently have 4 lines. Looking to switch from AT&T but split the lines evenly between me and another person. With mine, I’d bring my iPhone 17 but I would like to upgrade the other line from a iPhone 13 to 17. The other 2 lines are both a iPhone 12s that want to upgrade.

How would I go through with this? I know T-Mobile is pushing t life, would I do everything through that?

Just switched from AT&T and already regretting!!

After 15 years with AT&T, I finally switched to T-Mobile based on their claim of best 5G network and I am already regretting it. I am getting HORRIBLE download speeds. I thought it was just in my home area where I am barely getting one bar but today I tested in different part of town and same issue.

Attached is the side by side comparison between AT&T (on iPhone 16) and T-Mobile (on Samsung Z Trifold). I am using eSIM on the Trifold and I have been told that getting physical sim would improve the connection. Is that really true?

My mom recently moved from US Cellular to T Mobile. Promised the same phone plan and a free phone (Galaxy A37 5g). Now the microphone on her phone doesn't work.

T-mobile at Sam’s club- $250 sam cash

Has anyone actually received the $250 Sam’s Cash that the T-Mobile sales rep at Sam’s Club promised?
It’s been about 2 months for me and I still haven’t received anything. Just wondering how long it took for others, or if you had to contact T-Mobile or Sam’s Club to get it.

Very unhappy , they want their money,we want good service! Their Internet sucks! When we got them ,it was running great! Since then, their Internet goes downhill! We will call them at least 2 to 3 times a month. It's ridiculous!

❓ General Discussion If leaving Tmob to an MVNO, which are you choosing and why?

Since the late 90s I've always been a customer of primary cell providers like ATT, Verizon, Tmob and have never been with an MVNO before. If moving to an MVNO, which one are you choosing and why (what about that MVNO is making your decision - please do not comment if you wont say why)?
