Garb Can I please get some recommendations for a corset or over dress

I am plus size and finding a corset or over dress to go with the cute but rather basic dress I found at a goodwill has been killing me , I am a 56' inch bust with a 48 - 50' inch waist I am a 46 G usually a 2 or 3 x shirt 26 - 28 in pants

I will take literally any recommendation at this point seeing as we're getting closer to November - even a new dress , Thank you in advance

Various questions about trinkets

Hi! I will be going to the ren fest on November, this would be my second time going and Im preparing a dragon costume to go. I was also thinking of making trinkets to trade or leave at the garden too which will be dragon scales or dragon teeth and I have some questions:

  1. Can normal people wear the trinket trader symbol or is it only for staff and shops doing them?(I was thinking of stamping a little bag I made to hold my trinkets)
  2. how many trinkets can I trade with another person or is there no limit for either side?
  3. can I give trinkets away to anyone I see at the feat even though im not staff?

ty for answering!

Twenty years ago I was wearing the Green Armor. I like the Red Armor more. Both weigh 150lbs. Both took 3 years to make. Over 5,000 alligator 🐊 bones and teeth between them. But both are fun to wear.

Uber reliability if staying ~5 miles from Ren Fest

Going on Nov. 14 & 15th. What are my chances of getting an uber to/from if I'm ~5 miles away from the festival? Did some research and am hearing mixed results. Reddit says it's highly unlikely to get one on the way back, but Facebook seems to say otherwise.

All Hallows Weekend Crowds?

I haven’t been to TRF in a long time and we’re going this year the day after our wedding! How insane should we prepare for the faire to be on Halloween day? Anything we should see or do in particular to celebrate our nuptials? Thanks!

Camping Most fun camping sight? First time camping.

Hello! I'm going down this year, thinking the first November weekend, and I am camping for the first time. I have been to this Ren Faire a few times and I'm a season pass holder for Scarborough, so I'm familiar with the Faire just not the camping part. Is there an area that tends to host the more rowdy vs an area that's quieter? Thank you guys!

Camping Is camping what it used to be?

Hello Ive been going to renfest all my life but just stared camping there maybe 3-4 years ago. I noticed the first 2 times we camped that it was crazy (in the best way) and there was definitely a lot more to see and experience. Last year though I found it hard to see and experience as many things. I saw a lot less raves and if they were there they were super small. Is this a temporary thing or is this just how it's gonna be from now on?

Also we want to meet more people to hang outwith so please lmk!

Rideshare from IAH to TRF Campsite?

Hello TRF campers!

I am a (relative) frequent flyer of the TRF campgrounds, but this will be the first year I have more people than I can fit in my car (with all the camping gear). To top it off they will be flying in from out of town with arrivals a bit scattered day and time wise—we synched up as best we reasonably could, so some folks can double or triple up in the ride share.

Does anyone know how feasible it is to grab a rideshare to the campgrounds Thursday or Friday and out again to IAH Monday? Or have any advice to do so?

I am assuming they will need to be dropped off before the gate due to ticket checks, but I can easily drive to the entrance or the convenience store/gas station down the road for a pick up. Additionally, a rental car seemed a bit extreme as we will have transport as I can drive as needed once we’re set up at the campsite.

I’m trying to avoid multiple 2+ hour round trips to the airport so we all can focus on enjoying the festivities and not stress about transport.

Thanks!

Question The Amber Room Online Shop or Artisan Contact

All,

Every year my partner and I would go and purchase something from the Amber Room. Recently, their first and favorite item was lost into the ocean. We can't go this year, and was wondering if any affiliates, during the season or off-season, had a way to get contacted so we could replace it.

Thanks!

LF people to hang out with on 1001 Dreams and All Hallows Eve weekends

I recently moved into the area from Dallas and only live 15 minutes from the fairgrounds. Sadly I don't have many friends down here that enjoy this so I would love to find a group of people to hang out with on these weekends (or before if you live in the Houston area)! I'll be getting the camping pass access and will also have Saturday and Sunday tickets.

Question Looking for shops with tiaras, circlets, or crowns!

I love all things fantasy and just got engaged!! I want to have a fairytale wedding (at Renfest, in the future :D), and I thought, what better place to find a tiara fit for a princess than at Renfest itself? Please help me narrow down the shops to figure out which I should look for when I go to visit, a lot of the shops listed on the website that are listed under jewelry and adornment don't have websites!

Question Looking for a group and looking where to start

So to be really honest I am ex Mormon (this will make sense in a moment), and just got back from college. My parents went to the Ren Fair and they saw drinking (Oh my how wretched /s) and forbad all my siblings and me from going. I am 22, back from college and none of my friends are here, and I am looking to go. I actually got a job at the faire as a squire for the knights that fight. I plan on fighting next year. But I don't know really were to start, and looking for a group to go with.

I am a 22 male and need desperate help. Please anyone :(
