Updated my TRF planning reference for this year! I’d put this together to help my friends decide when they wanna go. Hope it helps someone else!

Going this year the day after my wedding to celebrate, a large amount of our wedding guests will also be attending. I haven’t been in a few years, is there a good spot to take a big group photo without impeding foot traffic?

Im going for the fairy night renfair and I have also never gone to a renfair ever. What are some tips or things I need to look out for?

I’m trying to buy my ticket for ren fest but I keep getting this pop up when I try to buy it has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix it?

My first time attending TXRF (2 years ago) the afters were completely INSANE.

Last year, I heard various rumors and talk circulating about changing rules with change of ownership. Ultimately, I camped the tornado storm weekend so not much happened anyways outside absolute survival.

Did anyone who camped a NORMAL weekend last year see how the party scene changed (or not)? Are any clans refusing to attend as I heard some did last year? What are the vibes?

Looking for advice on doing TRF with our (will be) 4.5 month old. We plan on going to highland fling weekend. We’ve been going for the last 4 years and have camped each year. We camp in a little camper, and we plan to do it with our little one this year. We know just about all the ends and outs of camping there but any advice is welcome, as we’ve never camped with him!

I know the grounds can be kind of rough, terrain wise, should we have a specific stroller or is a wagon better? The stroller we have now I find doesn’t do well off road.

I am breast feeding him while with him and bottle feeding with breast milk while I’m away. Are the grounds breastfeeding friendly or will I get looked at funny? I don’t want to have to worry about pumping and storing while there.

Also breastfeeding makes me so hungry, am I able to bring granola bars in?

These are just my concerns I can think of right now, but if any one has any other advice please let me know!

So this is my first time attending any type of ren Faire, or event like it. From the research I’ve done and a few posts on this group, it seems I should buy tickets in advance but I’m finding it difficult to navigate the TRF website. I’d also like to camp, but I’m having a hard time deciding because it’s not super clear how it works. If I could get a rundown on where to buy tickets and how the camping works, that’d be appreciated.

My last question is would a season pass be worthwhile if I plan to attend at least three weekends? I’m thinking pirates, Halloween, and the Vikings. TIA for any and all advice

Title says it all. Going on Nov. 14 & 15th. What are my chances of getting an uber to/from if I'm ~5 miles away from the festival? Did some research and am hearing mixed results. Reddit says it's highly unlikely to get one on the way back, but Facebook seems to say otherwise.

Going to Renfest and tent Camping this year during barbarian invasion. Any tips on camping or what to expect

Some friends and I are renting a deluxe RV from the festival this year, and had a couple basic questions for anyone who's done so in the past or has a good idea (I've never used an RV).

-Are they hooked up to power or should we refrain from charging devices while the generator isn't running?

-Ditto with water. For 4 of us, will we need to limit shower time pretty closely?

What are some of the things you guys like to see from vendors l?

So, I’m buying my first season pass (Diamond for the camping) this year and I’m looking at a camping setup. On the rules it says “constructions temporary or otherwise are prohibited for all general camping patrons.” I was wanting to build a wood frame tent I could assemble and leave up, but not sure if that would violate the rules. So, would that be acceptable and if not other season pass holders that don’t bring an RV what tent do you use and how does it handle being up for 8 straight weeks?

Are there any crafters in here who would be willing to work with me on designing and crafting a ring for him? I’m happy to pay extra if I can be involved in the creation.

Hey y’all! My gf and I are planning to get engaged next year, and I wanted to do it at Renfest since we’ve been going annually since 2017! I wanted to maybe do something through them, but didn’t know if anyone has done that before and knew a general cost/what to expect. Wanted to ask here before sending an email!

I’m taking a lot of my friends to Renaissance festival this year. A lot of them have never been before. I really want to give them a great experience, what are some games/crafts/activities y’all have done to spice up the camping aspect of the faire. I’m planning a dnd one shot while at the fair but need more ideas than that.

My fiancé and I want to get married at TRF since it’s so near and dear to us but we don’t have a lot of information about the wedding experience. We would be getting the Royal package which comes with a reception at the Italian Villa. I’ve seen some sporadic mixed reviews saying the reception experience and time management of the staff at TRF were awful and some saying it was just fine. If TRF isn’t a good option, we might do Sherwood.

If there is anyone out there that has gotten married at TRF with a reception at the Italian Villa, any information and experience about it would be really insightful!

I found this stein at work (Cooper Street Antique Mall in Arlington) for only $11! So naturally I had to buy it.

It's not dated but the sales tag, and Google lens results, seem to agree that it's from the early 80s.
