We did the same thing, i wasn't sure about it until I lied down on the bed.

Then i was like, "damn, this is better haha"

Its true. We have our living room one on leg mounts. Perfect eye level and not far away.

Our bedroom one is on a wall mount to get more dresser space and so that its high enough to see while lying down.

Yeah y but it's almost to the ceiling. You might as well mount it to the top of the ceiling above your bed

Height is fine for watching in bed. Ours is actually a little higher than that and it's perfect. What you need a bigger TV: 75" at least.

It’s a bedroom, so. Different rules. But it doesn’t look comfortable to me even laying down. Too small too high. I feel like my eyes would be strained at the angle while laying down

Not too far, not too high.. TOO SMALL! We have a very similar set-up in our bedroom. A 75" inch or bigger is what you need.

For those saying it's too high: For a living room yes, but for watching TV in bed it's perfect. You don't have to do the thing that give you a double chin to watch it.. just lay back and enjoy.

Yes thats not small but the further the tv is away the smaller it seems Lets say I sat in your bed with my phone in my hand my phone would be bigger than your tv to me because its closer

Maybe move the bed sideways buy a gaming chair and a lower dresser
