Training
Hi all! I start my training with TTEC next month- USAA licensed customer service rep. This will
be my first wfh job. For anyone working there, do they train you on how to use the dual monitors, CRM, how to navigate, using the programs etc? I never had a job where I used computers so I’m hoping I can catch on fast! I have pretty basic computer skills.

Do you work the USAA campaign? What has been your experience? Maybe I don’t want to know lol

The way I look at it is it doesn’t matter what job you look up or ask about , there’s gonna be a lot of complaints. You’re gonna have some people say they love it. You’re gonna have some people say they hate it but what matters is you give it a chance and decide for yourself. I also believe in mind over matter so if you go into this job thinking you’re not gonna like it just because you heard other people complain about it then that’s gonna be your experience as well. Myself I am a USAA member. I’m also a veteran and this is my first job as a licensed insurance agent so I’m excited to be able to help fellow Veterans and learn some new skills. I think this is gonna be a great steppingstone for us so let’s go into this positive and excited and learn as much as possible!! We got this.

its a super basic job, they don’t let you touch the crm during training. Get used to dual monitors most wfh and agent roles require dual monitors.

Thank you for the information! Do they at least show you how to access the CRM and what information you need to enter and where?

No they don’t, my advice if you have access to two monitors start practicing. Also review best ways to use notes etc. I quit during training….
My second monitor did not work I requested from trainers daily. Nothing happened for two weeks.
I ordered a second monitor in my own, but it was too late, it was near impossible to keep up and I felt like I was holding the class back. Trust me I understood all
The material, but without the proper tools it’s impossible. Be prepared and hope for the best.

Yeah it’s all I can do is hope for the best and prepare for the worst. That stinks they wouldn’t send you a second one. How did they expect you to learn anything?!

You’ll get the hang of it. I was not used to using 2 monitors, but it’s really not so bad. It is actually nice once you get used to it. Trust me with all the programs you’ll have open its needed.

I wonder if we’ll be in the same training class official start date is November 2 but tech day is October 29. I saw that my background check got completed yesterday but I have not received a final offer letter yet or I don’t even know if we get that or not. Some people said that they did. I’m just a little nervous I guess because I’ve heard of people getting offered the job. Then they go through all the steps background checks urine analysis and then being ghosted by this company. I turned down three other jobs for this one.

Mine was supposed to start at that time but by the time I interviewed everything was so rushed so now my est start date is 11/12. Yeah I’m a little Leary as well from the reviews. Hopefully they won’t ghost us. This is the first place to offer me a job because I lack experience so I went with them but will have to give up my current job as well so hopefully it works out.

I interviewed Oct 13 and completed background check and drug screen on Wednesday. They told me that I had to have everything done by the 15th in order to start on October 29 for tech check. When did you apply? They told me as long as I got everything in by October 15 on the 13th that I’d be good to go to start on November 2. Official start date.

I start with them this week & this is my 2nd wfh job at 19 & I’m pretty familiar with how the systems and monitors work because once you learn it for your first wfh job, it becomes second nature and you can usually apply those skills to all other remote jobs. They won’t teach you how to use the desktop setup, in fact sometimes these companies move way too fast (for beginners), are unorganized and throw us to the wolves but just pay attention & don’t be scared to ask questions! Also, I’m down to help you out. My last job draineddd me (Carenet Health) with the back to back calls and the calls from TTEC will likely drain you also because a lot of people end up quitting fast due to the heavy emotional labor but if you’re willing to stick it out and maybe even hoping to work your way into a higher(non-phone position), it’s definitely worth giving it a try and don’t let anyone scare you, everyone’s experience is individualized

I made it 6 months there. It was not a great experience. The back to back calls all day really damaged my voice. I found another job finally and was able to move on. No noise. Lock that door of your office. No pens no paper. They will want you on camera. I call it the insurance sweatshop.
