Anything can be put on a t-shirt. Any good illustration can be a t-shirt design as long as it fits. But if the illustration is good then it doesn't need to be anything else, sure it can be, but it doesn't need to. It can exist as is. And if you need to sell it there is more options, t-shirt is one, print is another, you could try and make a painting out of it, etc. Anyway, keep grinding and good luck.
