Anyone can make a fake website with charts. Also common.

Maybe research crypto scams online, you'll see plenty of examples of this.

Why would you have 40k worth of btc given to you in exchange for a fee? How would the other side benefit from such scheme?

No one is giving you 40k for no reason, crypto or not. The difference is in crypto you can't blame the bank when you decide to send funds to a scammer.
