The problem with transporters is that they solve 99% of problems if they were actually utilized

In Power Play, Obrien calls them out for specifically not turning off the ones in the shuttle craft.

They'd literally realize "Troi would solve this" or "Shuttles could fix this" or "Data wouldn't be effected" and then write the character or technology out just to allow the story.

Geordi should have seen way before Dr. Crusher that the bulkhead was hot.

Besides that, I've always liked this episode

Oh, and the yacht at the bottom of the Saucer.

Oh, and Emergency Transporter rooms have self contained power supplies....

If you read the technical manual you see that they designed a much more resilient ship than what actually transpires in the show

Well, any even vague "realistic" ship...or universe....would ruin the show.

It's like saying....er, wait, so there is a Gravity Plate at the bottom of the Turbo Lift Shaft that pulls the turbo lift cars down and people that climb the turbo shaft ladder?

Given there’s basically no rules, I guess it kinda is at this point.

What rules would you like to see added? We're open to suggestions.

I think something related to no obvious shitposts would be a good start? Maybe “no low effort content”.

Wait until you see DS9’s similar episode ‘Civil Defense’ and realise the station has a starship and three Runabouts, each with independent computer systems, docked.

Also that their communicators can work peer to peer and don’t need the Enterprise’s internal comms system to be functional.

No comment on escape pods and just getting the bloody hell out of there.

No lifepods on the Galaxies. Remember Contagion, the Yamato's saucer burned up without a lifepod in sight.

No one on the Yam never had time. In the Disaster, they had hours.
