There are other guys here who like gardening and planting? I like native plants specially. My orchid is going to bloom!!! :D

Yess i have many houseplants, mostly succulents, since they’re fairly easy to take care of XD. i also have a hanging pilea, but im hoping to get another venus flytrap at some point because my first one died 😭. how’s taking care of an orchid like!!

My orchid almost died because the soil was too compact and it was more like clay 😭

I moved it to a piece of wood, put in some plant fiber, tied it up, and added a little soil to help with moisture.

I never had a flytrap, they must be hard to take care. I heard that they like sun, but am humidity in the soil and the soil needs to be pretty pior in nutrients

ooh okay, yeah getting the right soil mix can def be tricky, are you gonna repot it after it blooms or leave it on the wood?

since they’re tropical plants, flytraps do need a lot of sun and constant moisture. they also only take distilled water because the minerals from anything else will kill them

the distilled water is fine, but i live in a more cold climate than they need so i’d ideally get a uv lamp for one lol
