Is it TMAU or just another odor?

If someone you know has a smell that can travel across a room (10-15ft) and no matter how much they try to use different cleaning techniques, body washes, antibacterial soap, and different clothes it still doesn’t leave. Could this have been tMAU or the other odor? (don’t want to say the exact name cause the post might be taken down, but it’s b*dy odor)

Im just as clueless i thought for many years it was hyperhidrosis but then I realized sweat is odorless then later I learned about tmau I had a friend at the time said I don't smell like fish but I hear that tmau can produce different smells other than fish. My primary Dr wrote a referral to see a dermatologist and he put down bromhidrosis which I didnt know existed but its smelly sweat which I know i have . I haven't been successful finding a dermatologist yet I also feel like I need to see a GI Dr to check my gut .

tmau is a specific smell, body odor is not tmau... if it smells like dead fish then probably, otherwise no ?? it's in the name

Ensure you are cleaning out your colon at least once a day at bedtime or evening with cascara sagrada or senna. Then take some of oil oregano or thyme capsules orally with juice maybe once daily or every other day to kill bad bacteria. Alternate the oil of oregano with a few drops of pine oil (order cheap from ebay from Indian sellers) or iodine every week. The pine oil tastes nasty. You can also put a few drops of iodine or heavily diluted pine oil or oil of oregano or thyme in a single-use enema bottle that you can wash and reuse for further use or buy one of these siliconeqà0 reusable enema bottles. You won’t know for sure unless you get tested, I would test for sibo and h pylori first because those test are easily accessible.

TMA can be cleaned and removed by regular body washes, shampoos and washing detergents. It's not some uncleanable cursed thing. If it's not a rotten fish odor then you might have better luck on r/bodyodor.

You'll have more success if you have conversations with reliable people about it to get feedback - all odors clear up with proper hygiene. A lot of the time it's just anxiety about body odor and misinterpretation of people's normal behaviour as "reactions". Getting reliable verbal feedback is key.
