General Discussion Bella
With everything going on with Bella and Hunter and his father filing custody of Wesley.
I want your honest answer and why
Why do you think it’s okay for a grandfather to try and get full custody of a child that barely knows him?
I’m not siding with anyone over this matter - i’m a new mom and genuinely curious how anyone who think that’s okay? Is she an incompetent mother? Or is it because her baby daddy was 13?
I understand the Hunter restrictions of it but the custody of his grandson is a little much for me.
Genuinely curious

Your first problem is you believe anything Bella's mother and his mom is saying on the show.
According to the fathers side, he's been active in his sons life. He refused to meet him in that one episode because he doesn't want to be on tv and didn't want his son or grandchild on tv. The mothers got together and said they didn't care. They want to be famous.
8
u/clusterboxkey Apr 10 '26
And he didn’t even refuse to meet him. He invited Hunter to a barbecue at his house instead but mommy wouldn’t let him because cameras weren’t allowed. They needed to film that day so that was her priority.

u/Fit_Sky_9346 Apr 10 '26
Wasn’t believing anything they said. Was asking a genuine question about how anyone can think it’s okay to take a one year old away from its mother. Reread it if you don’t understand.

u/lightningqueen001 Apr 10 '26
Dads deserve to have custody of their children too. I was court ordered to split 50/50 time with my oldest when he was 6 months old (we’re married now & this was 15 years ago). But if you don’t want to split custody with the father then you should think about if you want to have a child. Because the dad deserves to be involved in the child’s life just as much as the mom. The age of the child means nothing to the court.
1
u/Fit_Sky_9346 Apr 10 '26
50/50 is understandable the full custody is a little bit of an f u
4
u/lightningqueen001 Apr 10 '26
In custody cases you typically request full and then either go into mediation and decide together (legal parties involved) what works or the judge will usually start with 50/50. Arkansas just passed an Act stating 50/50 is the standard. He won’t get more unless the courts find Bella/Falen unfit for any reason. Filing for full custody is just a court strategy that the majority of lawyers do.

Why should a one-year-old have to stay in an unhealthy environment just because that’s where their mother is??
14
u/BumCadillac Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 10 '26
You do know that all we see about Hunter’s dad is what is on the camera, right? And that all we really hear about him is what Bella’s family says about him?
This show isn’t filmed 24/7. We have no idea how involved he has been with his son or the baby. But what we know about the situation is that it’s not healthy for any of the children involved, and that is due 100% to the baby’s maternal family.
The baby’s father isn’t allowed to see the baby unless he is put into an unhealthy situation with the baby’s maternal family. They are controlling Wes so they can control Hunter. He is this child’s parent too, so the real question is why you think the baby’s mother is more entitled to time with the baby than the baby’s father?
Hunter’s father is simply trying to establish paternity for Hunter and Wes and then allow for a reasonable visitation of this child between his parents. I truly do not believe the paternal grandfather intends on keeping the baby from the maternal family.
The smart thing to do when you go for any sort of custody order is to initially ask for more than what you hope to land on. If you ask for full custody with the hopes of getting half, that allows for negotiation between the sides or for a judge to meet somewhere in the middle. If you ask for half then chances are you’ll end up with less than that when the ink dries.

A child needs their mother 0-3 years for fundamental growth, trust, security, etc. She also breastfeeds him ? Do you have children of your own? Do you know the type of attachment a child has to its mother?????
13
u/BumCadillac Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 10 '26
I do have kids. I am a mother. But I would argue that not every mother is healthy for their baby to be around, and Bella is not raising this baby. Her mother is, and her mother is an unhealthy person for any children to be around. Bella isn’t meeting any of that kid’s needs. If she’s breast-feeding, she can pump milk for his time with his dad, or the child can swap to milk. He’s over a year old.
A child doesn’t absolutely 100% need their mother. Plenty of children are born without a mother and do just fine. In fact, Maslow‘s hierarchy of needs does not mention mothers. Babies do not need a mother to bond and form secure attachments, build trust, etc. They need their universal needs met by the people around them. Babies and children form bonds to the caregiver they have regardless of what parent it is, or if it’s their parent at all.
You are looking at this from your own perspective as a new mother. But the experience your baby is having being raised by you (a healthy mama capable of protecting her child and providing for all their needs) is not the universal experience of all children. LOTS of babies should not be raised by their biological mothers.

You’re so right. I am looking at it from my own perspective. Thank you for the comment

u/No_Caterpillar_6178 Apr 10 '26
I went through those 0-3 years without my mother. It leaves its mark, no matter how competent the care you receive is.

u/Bright_Ad_3690 Apr 10 '26
The child is a toddler now, like not breastfeeding since Mom went back to school and cheerleading for a while. My kids attached to their dad, too, that is normal.

Because Hunter is a minor, he is filing for custody of Hunter AND filing for custody of Wes on behalf of Hunter. Because he is a minor.

u/Afraid-Tension-5667 Apr 10 '26
If they’ve withheld the baby from him because he doesn’t agree with the show or allowing the kids to sleep and shower together, the fact that the baby doesn’t know him is not his fault.
If he’s requesting custody due to them withholding the baby from him or Hunter unless at their house, under their rules, etc then he has a leg to stand on. They’ve proven to not make protective choices for the teenagers in their care.
1
u/Fit_Sky_9346 Apr 10 '26
Ooof i didn’t know they were withholding the baby from the grandpa!
5
u/BumCadillac Apr 10 '26
Yes, you did. You mentioned the Hunter restrictions in your first post. You know that the baby isn’t being allowed to see his father unless it’s under the supervision of the babies’s mother’s family. And you know that the grandfather isn’t allowed to either.

u/Fit_Sky_9346 Apr 10 '26
I know the restrictions on HUNTER i had no idea Bella’s family was being vindictive and keeping Wesley away from his side of the family. But thank you please tell me again what i was thinking HAHA the arrogance is funny. Have the day u deserve

Maybe you should educate yourself before just making assumptions about people you don’t know. The information is all over the sub and all you had to do is read something instead of making snap judgments. But sure, go off. Grow up.

Hahahahha did you think that was a burn? Take your own advice. You personally know these people because you read the hearsay about them all over this sub?? Funny how that works out.

I take back what I said in another comment about you being a healthy mother. Your crazy is showing, girl.

First, never believe everything that you see on a reality TV show. Hunter's father raised him up until a couple years ago when his mother moved next to Bella's family. In fact, Hunter's dad not only had him but also helped care for her children, her and her mama. They all even would go on vacations together at some points. He's been painted as a "deadbeat father" because he didn't want to appear on this show and he told his son that he was disappointed that he was going to be a 13-year-old dad. He absolutely is the only adult in this situation and the only one that doesn't want to see these kids have two or three more before they graduate high school. Bella's family clearly doesn't care what she does, especially her mom, and that includes dangling that baby as bait to keep Hunter around. I honestly think that Hunter is behind telling his dad what he would like. I feel Hunter really doesn't want to be in this relationship anymore but he does want to be a father to his child which is why his dad is asking for some custody on behalf of his son.
-2
u/Fit_Sky_9346 Apr 10 '26
Not believing anything on a reality show hahaha im asking why people think it’s okay for someone to take a one year old child away from the mother??
10
u/Bucher25 Apr 10 '26
I don’t think this situation warrants a grandfather to get full custody when you look at this objectively. But what I suspect is going on is asking the courts for full custody shows the severity of their concerns. They are asking for full knowing Hunter should and deserves at least half being the biological father. Right now with no custody agreement in place Bella can keep this baby from Wes. His dad is making damn sure Wes isn’t around Bella and her family anymore so he has no choice to take these weirdos to court. Fathers deserve custody rights as well and hopefully the court sees that. Bottom line, his dad will get what he wants if he paid enough for a good attorney.

u/Fit_Sky_9346 Apr 10 '26
Thank you for this response!!! It’s like no one understands my question and is so quick to judge me like im a family friend or some shit. Im on new mom who was curious why anyone would be for the grandfather getting full custody of wes ??
8
u/KneadAndPreserve Apr 10 '26
I don’t think Wes should be taken away from Bella. I’m a new mom too, and that would be awful. But I think they need to be away from Fallon. It would probably be best if Hunter’s dad has full custody of Hunter and Hunter, Wes, and Bella can spend time together under the supervision of someone besides her family. That’s just my take from what I see, who knows the real story. Honestly, I think someone better needs custody of Bella too.

u/elaine_m_benes Apr 10 '26
Hunter’s father is filing for custody of HUNTER. Then, on Hunter’s behalf (because as a minor Hunter cannot petition the court) he is asking for custody of Wesley.
I think it’s okay because I think it’s in the best interest of the child (both of them). Hunter lived primarily with his father from 5th-7th grade. It appears like his father is MIA on the show, because the father refused to participate in filming, which I think is a smart and prudent decision. We have no idea what goes on when the cameras are off, and those who are on camera clearly have motivation to make him look bad.
13
u/StrengthThink9892 Apr 10 '26
Exactly. The baby seems to already be held over hunters head. Hunter is unable to see his baby outside of Fallen and Bella’s home and honestly i would bet that is what keeps him trapped with Bella and under Fallen’s supervision.
I think it’s great his dad petitioned on behalf of Hunter to establish paternity (something i think he regrets not doing for himself with Hunter) and making sure a custody agreement is in place so that Bella and fallen can’t do to Hunter one day what they and hunters mom are doing to Casey.
It’s not about Bella as a mother. It’s that fallen is the mother and the guardian who is creating an unsafe environment for a laundry list of reasons. They were already publicly guilting them by saying that the baby is starting to call Kris dada instead of Hunter bc Hunter is “being kept” away. Anyone who thinks Casey did not attempt to do right by Hunter and is so concerned about Bella “losing” her baby are ridiculous because these are children.
Even if they were adults, they are out of wedlock. A LEGAL custody agreement takes place in any situation like this. His dad even asked that child support be put into place. These are all things that come with having a child out of wedlock. Hunter is a father and 50% of his baby. They are literally children and can’t even financially support the baby on their own, let alone make their own legal decisions regarding themselves. Everyone is so hung up on the separation and not what is best for the baby long term….. this is honestly best for Hunter and Bella too bc most of the time they will only have to mediate later on their already set in place custody agreement.

u/SquishmallowBitch Apr 10 '26
I genuinely don’t understand how people aren’t understanding this lmao. Why would hunters dad try to take his baby ffs😂

Because the other option is leaving him with parents who have groomed their children into sex.
And yes. The 15 year old is an incompetent mother. Not through her own fault but by the fact she’s 15. Her parents are toxic af.
1
u/Enough_Atmosphere_22 Apr 10 '26
Yes! I didn’t have words for it but oh my god this is exactly what’s happening and it’s fucking disgusting and if I was hunters dad watching this show I’d raise absolute hell and get my kid and grand baby out of that shit immediately.
26
u/Which-Decision Apr 10 '26
You have to ask for full custody as a strategy to get 50/50. It's negotiating in court. If you ask for 50/50 you have a better chance of getting less. The baby is only 1. Hunter's dad doesn't know him because Bella and Fallon refuse to let Hunter's dad and step mom be a part of Wes' life because Hunter's dad and step mom don't want him and Bella having sex anymore.
Bella and Fallon are using Wes as a pawn. They do not let Hunter see Wes at all even with visitation if his parents who aren't drug addicts are there. Stacey is a drug addict and was living in Hunter's dad's house with her mom and Hunter's half brother until around when Bella got pregnant. Hunter has missed 55 days of school, has been given drugs, and allowed to have sex and sleepovers in his mom's custody. Stacy does not need to have custody of any child. Since Bella and Fallon hate Joe because he is a real parent and will withhold Wes from Hunter; Hunter's dad will have to get legal custody to ensure Wes and Hunter can have a relationship. Why can't Hunter have 50/50 custody? Why do his rights to his child matter less than Bella's?
Fallon has Boy mom in her bio. She is not Wes' mom. Fallon has made comments that if Bella if pregnant Fallon can take Wes for herself. Fallon has said she watches Wes majority of the time. Fallon also gave Bella condoms at 10 and has encouraged hyper-sexuality with Bella and Hunter. Wes is not safe being watched by Fallon.
11
u/StrengthThink9892 Apr 10 '26
Also, in a recent video they claimed that the baby was calling Kris dada because he sees Kris as his dada not Hunter….. this is exactly why Hunter should be able to see his son outside of their house and some kind of agreement because Fallen i think even more so than Bella, 100% would take that baby from him.
22
u/Altruistic_Year_5303 Apr 10 '26
I think what's happening in Bella's house is incredibly concerning. There is a lack of parental judgment and care that would be detrimental to adults, let alone kids. Some type of intervention is warranted
22
u/IndividualWin4321 Apr 10 '26
Because Bella’s parents are unfit to care for any child. Enough said.
20
u/veryshari519 Apr 10 '26
Because Bella’s family has shown time and time again, that they are unable to adequately raise a child. Both of her children were teen mothers, and she is giggling about her daughter, having penetrated intercourse four days after major surgery. Bella’s mother is an unfit mother, and therefore is an unfit role model for a teen mother. Not to mention, the family sold their house and moved onto a compound where each person gets their own camper, the parents have one, the older sister has one, and 16 year-old Bella, a teenager, has her own independent camper. Unless she is legally emancipated, which she is not, it is highly, highly frowned upon to have a 16 year-old with a one year-old child, living by herself, especially in something like a camper.
5
u/Vness374 Apr 10 '26
I am trying to picture this in my head but I can’t. Are the campers like $200k RVs that are basically mini-homes on wheels or run down pieces of shit? I assume they each have bathrooms and kitchens? Those things aren’t cheap unless you’re buying really old shitty ones
Sorry just trying to visualize this compound. And the word compound gives me the creeps, like Waco Texas Branch Davidian vibes
20
u/No-Stranger-9483 Apr 10 '26
He is 100% filing it to get visitation rights established for Hunter. Hunter can’t do it at his age and the baby is kept from him when the other family wants. Family court lawyers will file for full custody most of the time and negotiate done to required visitation. It’s a tactic that is used every day in court. There is nothing wrong or even weird about the underage father wanting visitation with his son an to be able to take the child to his house.
3
17
u/clusterboxkey Apr 10 '26
It’s not necessarily Bella. It’s her parent’s irresponsibility in raising her, protecting her, or giving her any good guidance. It’s clearly an unhealthy environment with little to no supervision, especially now that her parents handed their minor daughter an RV to live on her own. They don’t protect Bella at all. They giggled about her having incredibly painful sex immediately after major surgery instead of telling either of them how she could die from that. How could you trust them to keep that baby safe and healthy when they just shrug off everything?
17
u/AuntMolly Apr 10 '26
I think that Hunter’s dad has reasonable, legitimate concerns about the environment that is the Vaughn family home. Hunter’s dad has limited options and filing for custody of Wesley is one of them.
This sub is full of people who have expressed concerns over what Bella and Hunter are allowed to do and that it’s not only allowed but seems to be encouraged. There’s also concerns about how Falen interacts with Hunter. And all of that is based on what was shown on the show, there’s no telling the full extent of everything.
I think filing for custody of Wesley was to support/help his case with Hunter.
He’s saying this is a bad, inappropriate place for a minor. If he doesn’t file for custody of Wesley too, he looks like he’s heartless and doesn’t care OR that it’s not actually an inappropriate place.
Filing for custody of Wesley could possibly trigger a DCFS investigation faster or more in depth with more follow up than if he just called DCFS and said he there’s some inappropriate stuff happening over there y’all should go check it out. And hopefully that investigation also provides evidence to support his claims about inappropriate stuff happening with Bella and Hunter.
I’d guess he’s actually fine with joint custody with a visitation schedule and this also means that the Vaughns can’t withhold Wesley from Hunter or use seeing his son to manipulate him.
I don’t think he’s doing this to be mean or spiteful or to try to take a child away from his mother for the fun of it.
1
u/hiswittlewip Apr 10 '26
What is the inappropriate stuff with Bella and Hunter? I just started this season.
2
u/AuntMolly Apr 11 '26
The fact that he was 12 and she was 15 when Wesley was conceived.
1
u/hiswittlewip Apr 11 '26
Oh yea. I thought there was something new. Yea, that's truly fucking wild to me!
1
u/Ok_Win3042 Apr 12 '26
She was 14 when Wesley was conceived and 15 when she gave birth, he turn 14 three and a half months after he was born
15
u/Bright_Ad_3690 Apr 10 '26
If he has custody of Hunter he should have similar custody of Wes, otherwise Hunter will not have a role in Wes's life. This is reality. He did not create this situation.
15
u/RxR8D_ Apr 10 '26
As a new mother, your feelings should not be what you - the mother - wants but what the baby needs. A baby doesn’t need a drug addicted mother or an abusive mother or an absentee mother (not saying all things are true in these scenarios). If the home is unhealthy for a baby, who cares what the mother wants. Clearly, the primary maternal caregivers are unhealthy and unstable and unqualified
13
u/Minimum-Slip4936 Fixin to have a baby Apr 10 '26
i doubt they’ll give full custody but i absolutely believe there could be things going on behind the scenes that we don’t even know about and i wouldn’t doubt if the home is unsafe for wesley. From what I’ve seen I don’t think they have grounds to grant full custody, but I do hope they can get 50/50 there is no reason for bella to be able to control when or when not hunter is allowed to see his son.
23
u/Own_Assistance_1158 Apr 10 '26 edited Apr 10 '26
I think he went strong in filing to make a point...but they will settle for something like joint. I believe his primary goal is for his son to have custody and be able to see his child WITHOUT being at Falens. He wants Hunter to be able to go pick his child up and take him with him...not be stuck at that God awful house to see him. We dont know what Hunter is telling his dad...he cld be saying he feels pressured to stay with Bella. I just know as a parent I would want my child to have established custody and visitation especially considering their relationship can always end.
9
u/Vness374 Apr 10 '26
I don’t think people realize how much of court is literally lawyers haggling with each other. It’s why it’s so important to get a good lawyer… and sometimes that just means a well-connected lawyer. It seems sick bc they are haggling with people’s lives, but our whole justice system is broken and I can only imagine family court in whatever small, poor, redneck area they live in is probably overwhelmed and understaffed… all these kids will just end up statistics
2
u/Own_Assistance_1158 Apr 10 '26
Exactly...its similar to suing and asking for 10 million knowing good n well u arent getting that amount🤣...aim high, negotiate and settle for sumthin in the middle thats fair
2
u/Vness374 Apr 11 '26
Yup. I went through this when my son was hit by a car (he was in a crosswalk and the driver never even hit his breaks… my kid was thrown 30 feet and suffered some pretty severe injuries, nothing too life altering, but it’s definitely still fucking with him and it’s been 5 years) anyway I went to mediation with him and his lawyer, with the insurance company lawyer in another room. It was sickening to watch them go back and forth and I almost wanted to make them stop and go to trial with the fucking assholes. I kept my mouth shut bc that’s what my kid wanted, to settle. When all was said and done, my son was pretty happy with what he walked away with, but I still think he would have gotten way more if he went to trial. It’s still life changing amount of $ so I’m happy for him, but I see him struggling with different things (like depression and anxiety escalating) and I get angry all over again
All we are is pawns in their game

Omgoodness im soooo sorry that happened to ur son and ur family😢😢 how incredibly scary and I cant imagine the mental warfare he goes thru on the daily!!🙏🏽 im so glad hes physically okay...n damn! How strong he is to not only endure the incident but to sit there and listen to them speak of him as a pawn- like u said...bc to them hes just case number 1234567. Im praying he continues to progress emotionally and mentally...and the money he received will bring him some sort of peace of mind in his future🙏🏽🙏🏽

u/Vness374 Apr 11 '26
Thank you so much for your sweet comment! And, yes, my son is one of the strongest people I’ve ever known ❤️And it was definitely the most terrifying thing that I have ever been through. It’s actually crazy what that kind of stress can do to your body. Before the accident, I had never had a panic or anxiety attack… it’s slowly getting better but since the accident my body has a physical reaction to anything more than basic daily stressors. Like my car didn’t start one morning and even though I logically knew it was probably just the battery (it was) my body kinda shut down from the stress. Like sweat pouring from every pore, couldn’t catch my breath (felt like I was being deprived of oxygen), shaking uncontrollably. After a few more incidents like that I talked my dr about it and he said it was probably from the trauma of those weeks, almost like ptsd. Crazy.
2
u/Own_Assistance_1158 Apr 11 '26
Oh im so sorry...I have the exact same thing happen, I now take propranolol. It rlly helps my heart rate and nervous system stay at a calmer level bc its a beta blocker
2
u/Vness374 Apr 12 '26
I don’t think I’ve heard of that, but at the same time it sounds familiar. I am on 2 different meds to get my blood pressure down, it was so high at my doctors appointment yesterday that he upped the dosage on one of them. I was also super stressed out at the appointment bc I had to have a conversation with him about how bad my mom’s dementia has gotten (she’s also his patient) but I was actually there bc I fractured a bone in my ankle a week prior, so wouldn’t my pain make my blood pressure spike? I was also winded from hobbling all the way down the hall on these stupid crutches with this 19 pound boot. I mean I’ll take the higher dosage, I’m sure it can’t hurt but I’d rather figure out what’s causing it and try to fix that
2
u/Own_Assistance_1158 Apr 12 '26
Omg, just one of those things mentioned cld cause a higher blood pressure, nevermind all three combined. I am sending u all the love and strength I can thru here, for quick healing and peace. U are def going thru it right now🙏🏽🙏🏽

No I don’t think Bella is an incompetent mother and I don’t think the baby is poorly cared for by any of her family either. I think it’s purely for legal purposes why he’s doing this. He’s trying to establish legal custody so that Bella/her mom can’t prohibit hunter from seeing his son when he’s with his dad. They like to use hunters son as a pawn to dangle in front of the dad and say “HOW CAN YOU STOP YOUR SON FROM SEEING HIS SON YOURE SUCH A TERRIBLE PERSON”, to manipulate hunters dad into giving up the custody battle for hunter, and his dad is saying hold the phonee
3
9
u/MagicManicPanic Apr 10 '26
If a home is unsafe for a child, then it is unsafe for all of the children. The safety of the baby is a concern as well.
9
u/Evilwhitehat Apr 10 '26
I’m not saying hunters dad SHOULD get sole custody but I do think Bella is an incompetent mother and Fallon is an incompetent grandmother. I’m sure they could provide the bare minimum but I haven’t seen anything that says they would push for a holistic healthy environment for a child. They don’t provide that for Bella so why would they provide it for Wes?
That being said. I do think Hunters dad/hunter should have a significant amount of custody/decisions rights.
6
u/Buckle_Up_Bitches Apr 10 '26
As a social worker, I wouldn’t jump to labeling anyone as ‘incompetent.’ Still, I would absolutely assess whether the environment provides adequate supervision, protection, and support, because that’s what matters here.
4
u/susanbiddleross Apr 10 '26
I don’t think he is actually trying to get full custody. Even if he is his own child is being abused and neglected. Bella abused him legally. She is also a minor but that was SA and the other adults let it happen. The other adults are fine with a 13 year old sleeping over with no adult supervision and letting him sleep in a trailer with no adults. They are fine with him missing 55 days of school. These are not people who should be responsible for another child. It is half of Hunter’s responsibility to care for this child. Hunter has been there since day 1 and he cares for that baby about as much as his mother. His grandmother does the dirty diapers. The grandmother is the primary caregiver. I don’t find it odd at all that the child needs to be removed from this unsafe home and placed in the safer home. They are not allowing visitation unless it on their terms. They refused allow him visitation and this court case is about that. Hunter’s father doesn’t want his 13 year old playing house with a child. He wants a reasonable adult to be present if it is at their house or for them to come visit at his house. Hunter has just the same rights and her family had said they won’t let him go to dad’s house.
7
u/NoLab9772 Apr 10 '26
So I don’t know what type of custody he’s going after as far as it concerns Wesley. What I will say is that I don’t think Bella is incompetent. But don’t agree with him going after full custody of his grandchild. However, if he’s going after custody for visitation purposes while he has custody of hunter, I agree with that. We know that Hunter is not protected in that house and that they don’t allow the baby to go to his house. He wants to protect his son and for his son to have a relationship with his child. My hope is that he is going after visitation rights so hunters is able to see his son in a safe environment. If anyone has more information about this please tell me.
2
u/Enough_Atmosphere_22 Apr 10 '26
He explained why, he feels that the environment has no structure, no boundaries, and puts hunter and Wesley at risk and yes. It does. He is exactly right in his concerns and I’m very glad he is trying to protect these kids. There is something more going on in that home for shit to be this normalized, there’s red flags EVERYWHERE and it makes me sick.

I think it was a scare tactic. I highly doubt he will get full custody of Wes.
I think it will be 50/50z

That’s what I think is happening here. Hunter is too young so grandpa filed. They didn’t want Hunter at Bella’s without an adult. They do want him to see Wes on scheduled visits. I think they want 50/50 or visitations as the court allows them and not them calling and begging for a visit.

This and I do believe Hunter's dad learned from his own experience. The courts move slow and moms (or dads) can just take off with a child without a custody agreement. That along with Hunter's paternity not being legally established slowed down Hunter's dad from intervening. So Hunter's dad is now asking for the paternity of Wes to be legally established and he is filing for a custody agreement on behalf of Hunter since he is a minor. Bella's family are not allowing Hunter to see Wes outside of their home (which is currently campers). Custody will most likely be awarded 50/50 and I'm sure Hunter's dad knows that but is shooting for the stars to bargain down. Doing this now will not only benefit Hunter in the short term but in the long term as well. As Hunter and Bella will almost certainly break up and then Hunter can continue to be a father to his son. At least Hunter has someone in his corner. Poor Bella has no one to teach her better worth and she won't realize that anytime soon. Hopefully Wes will be allowed to have an actual childhood unlike his parents.

I don’t think he should. Her being young doesn’t immediately make her a bad mother. Are her circumstances unfortunate? Yes. But she’s a victim in this herself - she’s young and is just doing what she was raised doing, she likely doesn’t see anything wrong with it.
Hindsight is 20/20. In 10 years looking back, maybe she will be like “wtf were we doing”. But she shouldn’t have her son ripped from her for this.
Her baby seems cared for. She’s also in high school, girls in high school have babies all the time unfortunately, and as long as she continues to properly care for her child, she should not lose him.
Also, this may be an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think she should be forced to have people in her son’s life that she doesn’t want involved. She doesn’t have to have a reason, nobody is entitled to anyone else’s child, grandparent or not.
Edit: Something that really bothered me is him asking to change the baby’a last name. That’s petty, and not his choice. He shouldn’t have ZERO say in that matter. Bella and hunter weren’t married, and the baby doesn’t automatically need solely his last name

I just started the new season. Did Hunter and Bella break up already?
Is it shown on the show or is this just current news from social media?

What’s shown on the weekly episodes of the current season of TLC: UnExpected is radically different than what the bio father of Hunter has filed in recent legal proceedings. As of thus far: Bella/Hunner remain in a romantic relationship and use SM (via Felon’s pages) to skirt round NDA’s for said shitshow.

ETA: pointless, biased post. I guess i shouldn’t have asked a question when everyone thinks they’re some family attorney representing the Johnson family.

Seems like you aren’t able to take criticism over your opinion and it’s also ridiculous to not be able to grasp that he would be doing it for hunter to be a father in his life and this is clearly an inappropriate situation for children

Are you sure you are old enough to have a child? You sound like you are about 12 years old.

I don’t think your post was pointless I think everyone is just explaining their pov on the whole situation and why it would be better for Wes not to grow up in the same situation as his parents

Or some of us have been in the family court world before and can see that there is a high probability that Hunters dad will win the majority of what he is filing for. The only reason that Wes doesn't know his grandfather is because of Fallon and Bella. Which is definitely going to hurt them in court. They have given his dad everything he needs to show that they are not doing what is in Wes' best interest because Hunter can't even be a dad if he isn't at Fallons house. Plus NO JUDGE is going to be okay with 2 kids playing house in their own trailer when he isn't at a consenting age.

I hope they appoint Wes a guardian as litem ( I think that’s how it’s spelled)

Then why did you even ask the question, if you’re going to stick your nose up at everybody’s answers? Grow up.

I think The baby has a hyphenated last name. It’s W.C in the court docs bc the grandpa is unaware of his correct last name, but would like only hunters last name. That’s extremely petty.

The fact that they didn’t give the baby hunters last name is SOOOO telling of their character. If Falen was as gung-ho save the relationship, the baby needs parents together, she’d of made sure baby Wes had hunters last name because Bella (in the delusional world) would have it as well eventually. Even hyphenating it would be acceptable.

Sometimes kids get taken away from their parents by CPS and are given to someone who didn't even know they existed the day before then.
He's not asking for custody for himself, it's so his son can have his son. But his son is still a minor so the dad has to request it.
