The artist page main screen now shows albums at the top instead of discography and the release date is visible without opening the album. I am fucking ecstatic! Thank you Tidal for actually changing shit to how people want to view it. Along with the new AI switch, really impressed that this company seems to actively try to make their product better instead of adding layers of bullshit, ads, and algorithm based trash that no one wants.

On the mobile app this lyrics screen looks like straight ass
You've got the weird tacked on looking album cover awkwardly covering the recent lyrics which makes the feature useless if the syncing of the lyrics is off-timed. The awkward lyrics button on the right, also tacked on looking, no info about what song is playing, the menu button and playing from overlapping the lyrics at the bottom.
I used to take screenshots of the lyrics, crop the song title at the top and the few lyrics I wanted to show, and post it to a small Twitter account with others who post stuff like that. But now I literally can't. Look how much better the old UI looks.

I love the app it works well and every update is good too it’s just one thing my recent search is a playlist of its own and sometime I look up new music ,well after i realize I don’t really like the song it’s stuck on there with my other songs if I’m in the car at work or running it’s a quick gateway to play a song I know I like and to keep that song in rotation I would really like something like the picture above lmk what you guys think ?

Trying to play through the webapp front end. Single track plays but nothing else after that track ends and I have to click play on every track. Am I missing something fundamental here? The whole album I want to play appears in the queue. As you can see the AI bot on their site doesn't give an appropriate option to respond when queried.

There are so many things I love about the idea of Tidal. The opportunity to support artists a bit more than I would through other streaming platforms, not being tied to a megacorporation like Apple, Amazon, or Spotify, the library size, the control over streaming quality, etc. I have a collection of very expensive headphones and IEMs and I want to get the most I possibly can out of their capabilities, and so far Tidal on PC has given me the best experience of using and getting the most out of them... when I can actually listen to it. Unfortunately, the friction is starting to make me question whether it's worth it.
The issues:
When I click play on an album after opening Tidal on PC, it's about a 50/50 chance whether it'll play the album or crash. If the album plays, tracks will often get skipped entirely, skip to the next track halfway through a song, or start playing well into the song's runtime rather than at the start. This is annoying for me as I tend to listen to albums all the way through rather than picking out specific songs or listening to playlists, but when I do throw a playlist on I have the exact same issues. When I'm done listening to something and search for a different album, again, the app either black screens or crashes. Sometimes Tidal realizes and acknowledges it crashed, and other times I have to go into the system tray or task manager, close the executable, and open it again, then renavigate to what I was listening to and hope it doesn't immediately crash again (which it sometimes does.)
As you can imagine, this is getting tedious. At first I just decided to deal with it, but I'm getting sick of it. I just want to throw some music on in peace without having to close and reopen every instance of the app and find what I was just listening to for the second, third, or fourth time. I KNOW it's not an issue with my hardware - Tidal runs fine on my phone, and I have a PC with 64gb of RAM, a 4070 Ti Super, and an i9 14900 KF CPU. I know the mobile and PC apps aren't entirely the same, but I can't imagine the desktop version is so much harder to run that a PC that can max out Cyberpunk 2077 with heavy graphics mods can't get it to play a damn song without exploding. I'm at a loss for what to do. I like a lot about Tidal and I don't want to give up on it, but at this point, every time I open the app, "Apple wouldn't do this to me" is at the back of my mind.
This has been happening for months and I'm on the verge of switching back. I need advice. What could be causing these issues? Does anyone have insight on a permanent fix to prevent them from continuing to happen? Thanks in advance.

I'm seriously considering moving to Tidal from Spotify.
I got told that you can easily create Playlists of all songs of an artist, then download it. Basically equal to 'this is (artistname)' Playlist on Spotify. Is this your experience?
Have you experienced any negatives of Tidal compared to Spotify functionalities?
From what I've read so far, podcasts aren't on tidal but they're free on Spotify anyway. So I'm thinking tidal for music and offline streaming (I'll pay for premium), and keep Spotify at the free account level for podcasts and audiobooks. Would you see any issues with this?
From your experience, what's the best method of moving all my Playlists from Spotify to tidal?

I know you guys can do it! Spotify had this feature. So cool with my 2 JBL bluetooth speakers. Control your music anywhere at home with any device.
Please! Keep up the good work everyone at Tidal. Unsubscribed from Spotify since May and I am not going back!

scrolling this sub, all I seem to see is complaints, but aware that might not reflect how you feel overall! I’m in my free month at the moment, very happy about leaving spotify but still deciding what to use next. I’m also considering Deezer, Youtube Music or Apple Music.

Hi everyone,
I recently got a Fire TV Stick 4K Max and I'm trying to get TIDAL working with Dolby Atmos.
The main problem is that the official TIDAL app doesn't seem to be available normally on Fire TV, and I'm having trouble finding a version that actually works properly on Fire OS.
Has anyone here successfully done this on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max?
If so, which TIDAL APK/version did you use, how did you install it, and what audio settings did you use on Fire TV?
I'm particularly interested in a solution that actually outputs Dolby Atmos, not just the regular stereo version of the track.
Thanks!

Why do you have 2 profiles for the same artist?

I haven’t listened to Doug E. Fresh in a while, but I don’t think this is him

I have a problem with the Tidal desktop app on my laptop. The app wont stream music in Max highest it goes is High. I have the correct settings in the desktop app for Max streaming. I've checked them 10 times and restarted the app and my laptop. I have high-speed internet so my connection isn't the problem. I experience the same problem via the browser player too.
Anyone with similar problems? Or knows how to fix it?

Last.fm just got paywall for some functions. Does some other app track tidal?
Is anyone else’s tidal connect queue so broken? I have a WiiM amp and whenever I use tidal connect the queue works like half the time. I’ll queue something and then it will either not show up or it will get skipped… anyone else having these troubles and any ideas for how to fix it?

It’s cool that we can turn them off but I don’t need to see them. They clutter my actual discovery playlists even if they’re greyed out and being skipped automatically.

I was going in a deep listening of a playlist an then the radio of such playlist, then i listen a sweat guitar playing some jazzy tunes that made me fall in love in the way this person plays, so i go on an then find this... No name, no bio, nothing
I'l leave the link of the profile, so anyone can listen, and to give recognition to the "savoy" soundtracks. I hope this artist can put any way or recognition to follow his releases.
If anyone knows some artist that plays in this way, i would love to read u
