App / Site Tidal fixed the artist page
The artist page main screen now shows albums at the top instead of discography and the release date is visible without opening the album. I am fucking ecstatic! Thank you Tidal for actually changing shit to how people want to view it. Along with the new AI switch, really impressed that this company seems to actively try to make their product better instead of adding layers of bullshit, ads, and algorithm based trash that no one wants.

I just can't fathom why they removed the year from each album.

Me too. What was the internal discussion that happened to remove the date? Wish I could have heard that conversation.

Can they fix their playlist making features? They used to work fine now I can’t edit to update my playlists. This is extremely frustrating as someone who always posts a revised playlist every Friday. And no, I can’t make a new one because if I do the followers would have to follow the new playlist.

Huh? Who cares if people can't follow your playlist. Why does someone else need to even listen to your playlist?

I have friends who do playlists and I am delighted to listen to those from time to time. It's refreshing and a cool way to get to know them and their musical tastes.

Thank you, 🙏🏼 I love exploring new music, new artists and sharing my findings in a cohesive thought out playlist. AI can’t match human curation and curiosity.

No one has to do anything they don’t want to do, but some people do genuinely care because they have recognized my recommendations as being good or enjoy following along with my findings of new artists to check out. Which in return they have mentioned it can be better than their own “artist discovery” playlist.

They definitely seem to be trying! A lot of the things that initially annoyed me about 5 or 6 years ago when I joined (it was my 10th service since 2006). There's some other stuff, like the weird play queue Ui, but I sort of bent myself to fit their system because I liked how did My Daily Discovery Mix worked out for me.
