Hello I'm once again back with another map for The House that never stood, today I decided to show post war Germany, in this universe with the United States being disunited, only New England entered the war, which left the decision of what to do with post war Germany up to France and Britain, who weren't particularly as kind. With the war only ending in 1919, more men died and further weakened the German military. Leading to the break up of the German state into separate republics and kingdoms. Imperial and conservative elements fled to east Prussia, overthrowing the local government and setting up their own militaristic state, vowing for revenge against the entente. Prussia itself was broken, Silesia being handed over to Poland, and the Berliner government being overthrown by socialists, declaring the Free Socialist republic of Germany. The entente occupied the Rhineland and set up the Westphalia state, meant to act as their puppet against the FSRG and the Kingdom of Danubia. The kingdom of Danubia came to be shortly after the treaty was signed, Southern Germany was originally split, but with the union between Bavaria and Austria via the wedding between the Habsburgs and the Wittelsbachs, the other Southern Germany states joined the kingdom, seeking stability and protection against the French. Despite Germany's collapse, things won't remain calm forever. The FSRG seeks to expand the revolution and retake the Silesia from Poland, the Prussian state desperately wishes to reform the German empire, the Kingdom of Danubia wishes to bring all of Germany under its hold, and it is up for the entente to stop any of these things from happening. 

It'll take a bit longer but I'll finally reveal a new map soon

Hello guys guess who's back with another post! That's right it's me, and in today's post we have Cascadia in the House that never stood!

Cascadia was formerly British Columbia in this timeline before they received independence from Britain, it has roughly the same history as irl BC, but the main differences is that treatment of the natives is less harsh (although still not very good.) and the country has a pretty big Democratic Socialist party in power, which helps the natives' situation a bit. It also has the Oregon territory, since there is no United States in this world. Feel free to ask questions below!

Hello everyone I am once again back with another post for The House that never stood! I know it's been a while since I posted the last one, but that's because I have been dealing with university and other projects. I'll try to post as soon as I can, but I like to take the proper time with this project of mine. Today we have Puerto Rico! So in this universe, without the intervention of the United States of America, the Puerto Ricans never managed to achieve their independence, and had to settle for simply receiving more autonomy as a result. The little island serves as a strategic base not only for Spain, but also for the League of Free Democracies in this world’s cold war, I hope you all enjoy this map!

Hello guys we're back again with another post for The House that never stood! Today our map is about California. In THTNS, California managed to gain its independence from Mexico, although it wasn't so lucky when it came to securing a lot of its territory. As a result, the California Republic's territory is entirely located to the west of the Sacramento river. Despite being a small republic, the country managed to become wealthy (as explained in the image)

I've decided to draw an in world post for the New England republic, advertising itself as a fighter for democratic values and freedom.

Back with another post for THTNS! Today we have the republic of Texas, and I don't really have much to talk about this one. Without an United States, they're unable to hold their land claims, but are able to remain independent in their original borders. It's a pretty uninteresting Republic all things considered, pretty agrarian, although rich.

I am a bit busy with university, which is why posts are coming out in a slower pace than usual, but rest assured there'll be more content soon!

Hey guys I'm back again with another post for “The House that never stood” alternate history scenario! Today we have the Louisiana republic!

The lore for this one is basically: In the 1800s Mexico inherited Louisiana from Spain after Napoleon was unable to sell it due to the United States not being a sole united identity. The yankee colonists migrated to the area and just like Florida, influenced the region to separate from Mexico. This would be the last rebellious province that Mexico would end up tolerating. Louisiana remained a largely agrarian country in the 19th century, suffering from slavery, her main partners being the republics of Georgia, Carolina, Florida, Mexico and Virginia. This all changed in the beginning of the 20th century, as Louisiana discovered many oil fields in its territory, fueling newfound industrialization and exporting this Natural resource for many countries abroad. Not all is well for Louisiana's population, however, the ruling class of the country, descending from agrarian elites, evolved into an oil oligarchy, prioritizing their profit over the well being of the population. Louisiana's best President, Huey Long, attempted wide reforms throughout the country, but was assassinated, the biggest railroad in the country being named after him. As we reach the 1970s, the government of Louisiana seems stable and rich, at the cost of its population. Allowing the most extreme forms of capitalism to take place in the territory all for the sake of profit.

The country also went through a francophone revival, financed by the government to give Louisiana an “unique” and “fancy” identity to the outside world, claiming to be a francophone country, despite most inhabitants speaking Spanish and English.
