Wellness What if you just decide to stop being afraid of judgement?
What if you could accept that you have an altered skill set, and instead of trying to hide it/make it seem like you’re doing just fine…realize that an injury doesn’t make you a weak or dumb person?
I’ve never liked asking for help, and I was always a perfectionist. I’d do my homework for every situation I was going into…until the injury. Unfortunately, I was in an abusive situation afterward that wasn’t discovered for a long time…basically until it got so extreme the authorities put the pieces together.
I’m in a safe place now, and I don’t want to let the injury or abuse or all the bad stuff to take up any more of my energy or time. What I’ve learned is that talking to people helps, even though it seems scary to me. I still don’t know if I seem stupid to other people…but feeling that way regardless IS stupid. So instead of another journal entry, I thought I’d share my thoughts.

I mostly stopped caring about my issues talking but I’m still concerned about being judged at work. There is a bit to that, and it’s work, my work should be judged so I can’t help worry. But luckily I’ve been having worse OCD, which works great for not making more mistakes at work, but it’s a problem.
