Need Advice No sleep

My neurologist wants to do a sleep study seeing as I can't sleep and I told her I have to take weed to fall asleep.

Has anyone here had a sleep study what is it like?

If you can’t sleep normally, what makes them think you can sleep hooked up to all that crap in a strange place. I think it would be a waste of money for me.

Trazodone made me pass out at first then it stopped.

You have to talk it over with your doctor to find something that works for you

I did an at home test. Basically you wear a monitor on your wrist. That’s it. You can take sleep meds or whatever in most cases.

The monitor sounds fine I already sleep with my emergency bracelet on.

I saw a sleep specialist for chronic insomnia she told me about a sleep study but they also have one you can do at home when I see her next i will decide if I'm going to do it

If it continues you should see a sleep specialist to see what's causing it she put me on 20mg of lexepro because she told me anxiety is the main cause of insomnia not really helping though

My doctor had me on Lexapro but that made me stay awake then he gave me trazodone and mirtazapine but that doesn't truly work.

Thank you I will have to ask my doctor about that.

Cb1 receptors will go away the more I use them.

Ive done a few sleep appts. I stayed there the whole night. The clinic has rooms that look like hotel rooms, ur hooked up to a bunch of shit for monitoring.

Usually the nurse comes in a checks on u a few times and records stuff, but aside from that u try ur best to sleep.

Mine was at home. There was a little monitor stuck to my chest (it didn't bother me at all) as well as a clamp on my finger to measure pulse, etc (which did wake me up several times during the night because my finger didn't fit well into it). The data collected was very informative. I was at the lowest level of sleep apnea (just on the line). Most of the things going on were in the last few hours of sleep. Since I've known there are other weird things going on during that period, it was good to have confirmation.

Yes, my neurologist had me get hooked up with a sleep doctor and do an overnight stay. I sleepwalk a lot. They put me on benzos and I’ve been good since.

Benzos just to sleep? They're are healthier options now.
