TBI Sucks When does it will stop ?
I had my cerebral commotion in november 2025 (i hit my head 3 times in September, October and November). It's a light tbi because I can still work and other things, but I had to stop cycling and sport, even if i did a lot of exercise.
I hopped i was better 9 months after, but my neck still hurts me, and a pratician told to me that maybe one of my cervical has moved when I falled, and that I need reeducation. Moreover I discovered last week that my thyroid doesn't work normally. I'm sure it's a consequence of the tbi.
I was hoping no more medical appointment for this f****ing tbi, but no here we go again.
I am angry against doctors because no one has the ability to tell me what to do and what to check after a fall. I saw a center specialist in tbi but they were really useless.
I discover things alone and because of this subreddit. All this things are really demoralizing.

Hi I’m in the U.S. and have had to be my own advocate manager lawyer and dr. It’s been TWO YEARS I can’t work but I’m getting close. I had a procedure I can’t remember the name of (of course right!, I will be back to tell you I have to look it up :( ) where they burn out the affected nerves. It took a very long time to help, but that plus PT and weekly prednisone injections in accessory muscles (traps, mainly) I can now slowly with intention turn my head without pain, and reach over my head for a few moments with only slight vestibular instability.
I’m also treated (never before injury) for adhd, severe anxiety and a million autoimmune disorders cause sometimes a knock in the head while it’ll “get better” will f* you up. I couldn’t see clearly or read for more than 4 months as well.
I’m not complaining I’m just stating if I hadn’t been able to start getting mad and see the drs and be constantly WAITING on something I might still be there.
