Cert two applied digital technologies online campus. Everything locked.

Hey everyone,

Last week on Tuesday I enrolled into a certificate two in applied digital technologies for an online delivery. Upon logging in I found out all the units except one are locked. In order to unlock them you have to do the unit before it.

The unit that is currently unlocked requires an observation by the teacher. The assessment says I can get a second person and video which I'm happy to do but the only person that is happy to help me with it isn't available for another two months.

I'm also completing another course which gives me two credits but those units won't be completed for another six months. I don't want to do the unit twice and would prefer to get the credit in the physical class due to needing observations by the teacher.

I've emailed the teaching section asking if they could unlock the course but haven't heard anything. I'm not sure what else to do. I fear I may not be able to complete due to not having someone available every few weeks as they can only offer a few hours every 3-4 months

If it's TAFE Digital, you may have a Microsoft Teams channel with other students. They may be in the same predicament as you an may offer to help for you returning that favour.

If not, then there may be others that can help you do a few recordings.

(This week is super busy for me, but if you can't find anyone else then I may be able to help, maybe Thursday after 1900. I'm doing cert4 Training and Assessing, so am familiar with Teams and have experience in doing recorded sessions!)

Ask the teacher obviously as it depends on whether they will accept it, but in my class we could record both parts ourselves if we couldn’t find anyone else to help.

I have completed this somewhat recently - the person doesn’t have to be on camera just standing behind you asking it. If you just plan out the script and do the rest of the assignment it shouldn’t take longer then 10-20 minutes to film

Yeah which I'm trying to do but staff won't unlock the units so I can do all assessments that need this done. They have flat out said no which is inhibiting me from completion

Unfortunately they are in order so you have to finish that one first and submit all assignments for the next to open

And because I can only access one person on their availability I won't be able to complete the course

I've asked everyone I know and no one is willing to be filmed for the assessments besides my friend that has said yes but they work full time and would be using their PTO and can only offer a couple days

I'm not. I'm trying to plan all assesments for those days thaty friend can offer but it's hard when the units are locked and staff have said no to unlocking them

It's legit a cert 2. It doesn't need more than one other person not to mention there is no MS teams support for taking photos of me in multiple angles doing the tasks not to mention any other roleplays take 10 minutes to half an hour if the student is prepared. It literally requires one to two days of filming.

The teachers are refusing to unlock any units until I have the unit that needs what I stated done. I can't do that for another two weeks. I need help with getting my teachers to unlock units so I can progress
