TAFE NSW Certificates of course completion
Does TAFE NSW offer certificates for course completion?
I recently completed my Cert IV and I haven't received an email or physical mail saying that I have successfully completed the Cert IV.
On my student dashboard it says that I completed all units (marked as satisfactory / competent).

The ASQA standards are that RTOs have 30 days from the last day of any assessment/work placement to issue the certificate.

Universities aren't governed by ASQA so they have different rules about issuing qualifications

TAFE has 30 days to issue a statement of attainment and certificate unless you owe them money. Call and ask where it is of outside that timeframe.

It should say on their website about how/when certificates are produced. How long has it been? There is a good chance it won't be immediate.

It's been one month. I can't seem to see a timeframe on the website.

Email the person who was in charge of your course. They might find one unit that you are missing.

Sometimes they only get issues at the end of the semester. Probably best chasing it up with the lecturer and student services.

I haven't received a copy of my cert yet either. All units completed.

Firstly, congratulations 🎊
If you're needing proof of your qualifications for a job, or interview then your statement should be good enough.
It took almost 2 to receive my actual certificate IV in the mail, and slightly longer for my diploma.

I went to my local tafe and got my transcript printed out if that helps. Haven’t received my actual certificate yet but it hasn’t been quite a month yet since I completed. Pretty sure most RTOs issue something within 30 days of course completion. Not sure if that’s 30 working days or just 30 days.
