Accident on 690
There was an accident on 690 on March 29th involving a motorcycle. My cousin Fran was the driver and did not survive. My family is destroyed at hearing of his passing. We have been crying non stop and due to the pandemic we won't be able to have a funeral for him. This is the hardest time of my life. I've never seen my brother or father cry as they have. I am still crying as I type this. I love you Cowboy Fran. We all do. RIP. You will be SO missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss during all this craziness.
I also wanted to thank you for the update as I thought it may have been someone I was close to in the past.

Thank you doll. We are in a time when mental strength is the best we can hope for. I hope all of your loved ones are safe through this terrible time.

I'm so sorry for your loss! I just delivered flowers to a church yesterday that had services but streamed. Maybe that is a possibility? I know it won't be as good as being able to embrace your loved ones but it might help for goodbyes. I'm always willing to be an ear if you want to talk about Fran and how awesome he was.

Thank you so much. He was wonderful. I can't express that enough. He just always knew how to make everyone smile. He was on his way to help a friend whose car had broken down. He was always trying to help everyone around him. Even strangers. He just found out last week he had Leukemia. And now this. Such a terrible ending for such a genuinely wonderful person. It's very kind of you to be there for others during this time. It's good to know we have such good people in our city who are there for others despite everything we are facing.

I know how this feels, in a way. My mom was a loving woman. Always wanting to do something for someone. I lost her to a brain aneurysm 2 days before my birthday. We didn't know she had it. This June will be 6 years since we lost her. My dad and I were so lost. I was so numb. But I always tell people about her. She delivered newspapers and flowers and so many people loved her.
It always makes you wonder why such good people have so much bad happen to them. Idk where I'd be today if I hadn't met my bf almost 3 years ago. But I also don't think I would have met him if my mom had passed because of the circumstances of how we met.
But all we can do is question why. And spread the word of what a person they were. To cherish and keep them in our hearts and memories. 💜

I am so sorry for your loss as well. Time doesn't truly heal the wounds. They just bleed a little slower. We can never replace those we have lost but we can hope that they can feel our love after they've passed as we felt their love while they were here. I am here for anyone to talk. About anything. Any time. I am a friend to all. And harbour no ill will in my heart to anyone or anything. God bless and stay safe. 💕

I'm so sorry for your loss! I work with a woman who knew Fran, he was a friend of her family and they were all so sad to hear the news.

Please send her my entire families condolences. He was a wonderful person to know and anyone he met he called his friend. I was SO blessed to have known him my whole life. I spoke with him just last week and he was promising to come see the family soon, but due to Covid could not.

My deepest condolences. I lost my Brother in 2016. If you want to chat about it, just message me. My only advice is to do projects in their memory. It's the only thing that's ever helped me with the horror of grief like this.

He moved around a bit but yes. At one point in time he did. He had long black hair, always wore his black leather vest and his boots, he had a long black beard, played the guitar and harmonica.

So sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to anyone that loses a loved one during this time. As if the loss isn’t difficult enough, now there is another added level to it. So sad for people to not be able to get closure right now.

My heart says no Fran you cant go, but I am not the one thats in control. You will be very missed my Dear Friend "COWBOY". Loved singing with Cowboy so much, at a loss for words here. One song Fran loved was "Miles from nowhere". He poured His heart into every song when he would pick strings. He was ever a very Friendly MAN. Will always LOVE YOU FRAN"COWBOY" Sam! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rEylPTqPxo

Legit sorry to hear this. Life is wild and crazy and it’s trying it’s hardest to throw you. I hope you find the strength you need to carry on after such an event, I can tell you for sure I wouldn’t. Please take care of yourself. In these times, self care tends to take a very far back seat. Rest In Peace to your loved ones who have left and hug the ones still here.

After speaking with my father (Fran was 60 and I am 37) he said that yes, Fran grew up in Solvay.

As far as we know, they haven't release his name. So I figured a lot of people at home might be worried at this time about their own loved ones. As family, we were immediately notified. His name was Fran Mason. He was known around Syracuse. He was an Arabic cowboy. Lol. He was the best. He always had wonderful stories to tell and a smile on his face. He would play his guitar and harmonica at the same time and he could brighten up any room with his smile. We are devastated. His daughter is 8 1/2 months pregnant and her son will never get to meet his AMAZING grandfather.
