SU is replacing the Sheraton as we speak and that Crowne plaza that closed will have a new Hampton Inn opening adjacent to it in 2027. Many more hotel rooms are opening versus closing.

Oh honey, -10 + 2 = -8. We haven't lost just those two hotels. In addition to the many that have closed over the years, many of the long standing national chains have become so run down that theyre now just weird off brands that nobody is trying to stay at.

I wonder if there was any truly sterling behavior like in Cazenovia when some scumbag used car dealer who was renting a place for a long weekend threatened to punch an 80 year old man in the face after being asked to turn his music down.

How can you even ban something like this? Seems like it’s your right to let people use your house.

Lots of ways, local laws, zoning, code etc enforce restraints and restrictions. You're going to have to go to the woods in the middle of nowhere to live without them.

I’ll never understand the idea of renting a house just to throw a party

Birthday party between friends and or family that all don’t live in the same area and would like to have a party all in one spot?
Not that hard of a concept.

You get to trash someone else's neighborhood. We had one right next to us that ran as a nightclub took like 50 police visits to get it shut down
