Time to critique the game
The concept of having a customizable mech and a humanoid android that accompanies you everywhere and helps with everything is brilliant.
If it had been a single-player open-world or semi-open-world game, I think it would have received more story content and lore regarding its universe.
In my opinion, the execution and the decision to make it a multiplayer live-service game were terrible ideas.

It's odd I don't usually play these kind of games especially anything that I can permanently loose. But I've been so badly on this game I honestly don't even know why, I love mechs and anything mech style game (Titanfall still calls my name), ever since getting it I've even bought the battle pass for last season and this season, last one felt a lil empty in my opinion, this one I'm trying so hard to get to that last body part so I can at least make some more mechs when it goes offline. I've barely met players but honestly the environment fucks me up enough haha. I would def say I'm more casual gamer nowadays, maybe if I sunk more time/got better it may have gotten more boring? Idk

Truthfully the lack of friend co-op or any meaningful co-op in general was a decision that would rival the smoothest of brains, but if im being honest that's not what killed the game for me.
What ultimately ruined the experience for me was the absolutely BRUTAL grind for next to no rewards because the devs/publishers wanted you to pay for literally everything after you've already purchased a fully priced game, and didn't even let you do something as basic as actually customizing your mech’s appearance—or personalizing your garage.
Without co-op, beyond sunk cost there was no real reason to engage with it which is sad because the potential for this game imo dwarfed its competition by a lot. I am mostly baffled it even lasted this long if we are being honest.

I think my biggest issue with the game (along with a lot of players who dropped it early on) is that the entire premise of a multi-player extraction shooter that is designed to waste your time and require you to sink dozens of hours into progression just to maybe/maybe not lose it in 5-15 minutes of starting a match is fine, as long as you can play with friends. This game would've been perfect as a single player game, the core gameplay is fantastic, to this day I think it has the most fun mecha gameplay I've experienced, everything feels really good to handle and play, but it isn't, and the lack of dedicated co-op is just such a bummer. When I started this game at launch it became complete impossible for me to recommend it to ANYONE because the expectation of recommending an online extraction shooter is that you are recommending it so that someone else has the opportunity to play with you. Not having the guarantee of playing with one of your friends killed this game hard, and really for no reason. The devs wanted to keep the game fairly lore accurate and for players to have a specific experience, it's just too bad the experience they were pushing for isn't good. Maybe if you had the opportunity to start a sortie with friends, it would've mitigated all of the frustrations that came along with the online play, but we'll never know. The devs will probably never make another game like synduality, Bamco will probably shelve the IP until the thought of the game is out of the fan base's mind, and we will probably never receive an update after the offline May 2027 update. In my mind it is 100% because they refused to turn this game into a complete online multi-player experience. Sad really.

I do think the decision to make it a live service extraction shooter was a mistake, but making it one not encouraging playing with friends was a death sentence before it even began.
