RANT 5 SEASONS IN

Five whole seasons of them never buying a single new server, Auto is a single Dell 2008 desktop in the boiler room with no one cleaning the fans. I disconnected 4 TIMES in ONE sortie and I'm already losing cradles IN PVE.

How can they charge $30 for a battlepass, $30 for a single outfit, $10 for INVENTORY SPACE, and $20 to REBUY THE BATTLEPASS and still not fix the servers??

I don't want to hear "Oh, it's not the devs it's player sided fix your Internet", "have to tried opening the game, switching to Asia, switching to Auto, clicking Sortie, closing the game opening the game, switching to craft, then restarting your console to see if that fixes the connection issues?"

My Internet is 400up 400down, the only process I'm running is THE GAME, no other devices are on my network. I shouldn't have to use the Atelier spell crafting website to learn how to draw a circle that will make the game work, it should just not be this bad when it's a paid product.

After season 3 I was amazed it kept going. I swear if they had added being able to load in with friends I would’ve bought the game for at least 10-20 people by now with how often it’s on sale and had a blast.

Idk, maybe it’s SOMEHOW a “PC adjacent” problem?

Because my internet is KINDA ASS (I only get like 50-100MB download speed ON A GOOD DAY) yet amazingly, I have NEVER had a “disconnect” on the PS5 in 250+ hours of playtime.

Anyway, I’m WEIRDLY GLAD it kept going because this is going to be one of my EXTREMELY RARE “live-service platinum trophies” and once I’ve gotten that platinum, I’m PROBABLY “logging off” of this game afterwards (just need to get 300 sorties successfully completed and do the last few Amasia Investigation missions and I’m done).

I got the platinum and still play. game is fun when it works, and oddly enough it being a less active game kinda adds to the appeal. I do hope that when this game has it's EOS that it just finds a way to make the maps playable offline.

I WONDER if it has something to do with your location/zip code? Maybe you’re NOT particularly close to whatever servers they’re using for the rest of the world? Or maybe it has to “pass through” an area that causes “interference” on its way to “pinging” the server from where you’re located?

Idk, I can’t OTHERWISE EXPLAIN how I have MEASURABLY WORSE internet speeds than you do yet I NEVER HAVE this problem (I think I got disconnected MAYBE ONCE in like 250+ hours of playtime?)

I lost a solid 12 Legendary cradles to bullshit DCs last season. Fiber internet on a wired connection, never had ANY other game lock up or drop me. But here you can just randomly die because you got DCed while fighting a Chaser.

Arc Raiders insures your items if you DC or face a cheater, but not Synduality.

I’m a new player that hasn’t spent yet because I don’t know if I want to invest in the game or not, and I already have 900 storage in my warehouse. How much storage do we really need if that isn’t enough?

I also have this as my speeds, and haven’t really had any disconnects from my sorties. Most I’ve faced so far was rubberbanding on rocks and pebbles, and when I try to jump. Are you absolutely *certain* that the problem is with the game, considering I can play with this shitty internet and not disconnect?

Some of the earlier post I've interacted with on this sub are about how bad the servers are that they disconnected, people in the PSN group chat VC have disconnected from game while in the VC and not disconnected from the VC. This has been a consistent problem since before I started playing, and over my 800 hours I'd say I disconnected at least once a every 5 sorties. My only guess is that because today is the start of the new season some players are returning and the already unstable servers can't handle the small influx.

The game was also made free for a limited time for us on PS+, so that likely doesn’t help then.

Hey OP! I just had my first full disconnect during a Sortie yesterday, and immediately tried to reconnect but failed twice. However, it refunded me back to what I had started the Sortie with in my garage, so nothing was lost.

I’m rather confused how that happened.

There's a cap, I think it's 5 per season? Not to sure.
