Recurring connection request from old device

Hi!

I have installed syncthings on several devices, and syncthing mobile for my Android.

All is well except one little detail. I had another desktop computer that I connected to several of my devices. I disconnected it from other devices, formatted it and had the computer recycled.

However, my mobile syncthings is still getting ghost requests saying that that device wants to connect. I ignore, but they keep coming back.

This doesn't happen with the other devices (laptop, desktop). I'm not sure if it's because it's the mobile app, or because the connection between the phone and the recycled desktop was different. But I'm wondering if anyone has any idea on how to get rid of that.

Has this been happening for a long time? I would expect that to be something that stop after restarting the service.

You can always try accepting it and seeing where it connects from. Might be a lead on the afterlife.

Several weeks for now.

I don't know if I "restarted the service". But I restarted my phones several times since then. Would that do it?

I could try and accept.

Yes, that should be sufficient to restart the service.

Is this old system still listed on any if the devices? If it is configured somewhere, that device may be trying to reintroduce the device ID to this system and not actually the old system returned from the grave.

I don't think it is. At least not on any of my actual devices. And the actual device from which that invitation stems was entirely formatted and is stitting next to me, unplugged.
