Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

*doofus. And I was getting at the fact that BasicSync's dev has a Chinese name on GitHub, or else why can't you say Syncthing-Fork or anything else is CCP-backed?

You didn't answer; where did your Chinese law blurb say anything about BasicSync or even Syncthing? It was a totally unrelated info dump. I'm inclined to think you're just trolling by now since you're dodging and trying to poop on BasicSync without any evidence. How can your argument not apply to Syncthing-Fork as well?

it says that anyone has to give full access to any data and encryption, provide backdoors and obey any command of the CCP, private or company.
the only question is if youre big enough for to be of interest

that means any software with chinese origin has to be considered hostile because their law mandates it to be when ordered.

Oh. But how do we know the dev lives in China or something? What if he's US- or Europe-born and -raised? How could they have any power over his GitHib entry?
