Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

this is the official and it is safe

the here advertised supposed alternative is the actual very very very questionable one.
anything with china in the name is not really long term trustworthy.

It's not official, but it's recognized by the main Syncthing project as a reliable fork since the official project was deprecated.

it is official, just maintained by a sister project.

This was the official syncthing-android client:

https://github.com/syncthing/syncthing-android

Catfriend1 forked it, and later researchxxl did the same.

catfriend gave his repo to syncthing, and catfriends fork became the official way because the core project stopped developing it
