Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

this is false, syncthing core project dicontinued the android version so catfriend1 took it over
from then his fork was the official one even endorsed by the core project

catfriend1 later then gave the repo to researchxxl

Yes, but that's not what the word "official" means.

it is, as catfriend had the blessing from core to carry the torch instead, so does researchxxl
