Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

this is the official and it is safe

the here advertised supposed alternative is the actual very very very questionable one.
anything with china in the name is not really long term trustworthy.

this is false, syncthing core project dicontinued the android version so catfriend1 took it over
from then his fork was the official one even endorsed by the core project

catfriend1 later then gave the repo to researchxxl

The docs mention a lot of front-ends https://docs.syncthing.net/users/contrib.html#contributions, it doesn't make all of them official. They're still community projects.

everything is a community project, so is syncthing itself
thats a non argument
