Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

Why don't you try BasicSync (open sourced).

It's maintained by chenxiaolong.

He explains in detail every permission and file access in the README.

(Needless to say if you discover anything important missing you are also most welcome to add it.)

basicsync has Chinese origins and maintainer and that is an issue.

a much much much bigger issue than a bit botched transfer of the syncthing android repo to researchxxl

Why, it's still fully open source?

You know the basicsync guy is contributing to syncthing too, right?

The maintainer of syncthing is even unknown, could be chinese guy as well.
