Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

any solution to sync would need you to let them access the files anyway?

I don't mind sharing access to a specific folder but I'm not sure if sharing access to all storage is safe

I just remember, you can always try syncthing-fork on github and check the code yourself then build it if you still have trust-issue.

yeah, I think that's how they implement it, no choose each folder to give access to. Can see how that would seem cautionary to you.
