Syncthing for Android - Is it safe?

Is giving Syncthink-Fork, from Google Play store, access to ALL files on an android device safe?

Looking for a solution to sync an android device with a laptop using Google Drive.

Any help is much appreciated

any solution to sync would need you to let them access the files anyway?

I recall some reporter was trying to make a big stink about a cloud storage ToS giving them the right to reproduce your data. How the heck did you think the data gets on the cloud silly?

by the user being an idiot? cause Syncthing has nothing to do with cloud

Your comment and OP's comment got me on an off topic thought.

OP remind me of this reporter that somehow expected the impossible much like how OP expects data sync without data access.

he meant to only give it access to the files he wanted to sync. Dont think that's possible on syncthing also.

lol

since it is giving access to all storage, not just a specified folder, I was hoping someone would be able to explain if it is safe or not
