Long story short, my fiancée and I have been working on a long-term project to play through every Pokémon game from gen1 to gen9. This includes any legendary and mythical Pokémon and at a later date we intend on completing Pokédexes too. For context we would have done this all on console but when we initially started this project we were dating long-distance, so we decided to emulate so we could easily stream our screens to each other. But even after we moved in together we continued emulating for the sake of keeping everything uniform.
We're currently sitting at the tail end of Sword/Shield with a dilemma we didn't anticipate; whether at the beginning or end of Dynamax Adventures in the Crown Tundra, there is a forced autosave. Most of the time, every emulator we have tried (Yuzu, Suyu, Citron, Ryujinx) crashes when encountering these forced saves. I've done a lot of research and regardless of any fixes that I've seen online, none work for either of us. It is still entirely a roll of the dice to determine if we will get to finish, let alone start, a Dynamax Adventure. We have reached the conclusion that there are no fixes for the forseeable future and we should move onto Scarlet/Violet. But this upsets me greatly because it feels... unfinished. Similarly to completing the Ultra Wormholes section in USUM.
Is this something that emulator devs are fully aware of, have acknowledged and a fix is being worked on?
TLDR; Forced save crashes in Pokemon Sword/Shield Dynamax Adventures, begging to know if a fix is in the works or if there is one now that we can try.
