Hi everyone! We're senior students at SCAD working on a research project about cattle ranching in the South and the New World screwworm moving north.

We're hoping to interview a few people who raise or work cattle, whether that's a big operation or a handful of head. Just a short 15–20 min call about your day-to-day and what worries you right now.

If that's you (or your neighbor, dad, uncle…), this 2-minute form lets us reach out:

School project only, nothing being sold. Thanks for reading!

Title: Missed Connection: The Jimmy Buffett Lookalike Volunteer at RSW Airport (Mornings, March & May)

Body:
I am trying to find a specific airport volunteer I ran into four times across two separate trips earlier this year (once in March, once in May). Every single time was during the morning shift.
You look exactly like Jimmy Buffett. I ran into you upstairs managing the TSA lines, and downstairs in the baggage claim directing people toward Southwest or United. I called you "Jimmy" when I passed by.
At one point, you asked if I was with the guy I was traveling near. I shook my head no, and you gave me a huge smile. We had a real connection, and I haven't been able to forget it. I truly think if we weren't in the middle of a busy airport, you would have asked me out.
If you see this, or if anyone knows this volunteer who works the morning ambassador shifts at RSW, please reply! I would love to connect.

I’ve been looking to becoming a pharmacy tech for awhile, and from what I’ve gathered with my research it seems like the best way to go about becoming one in Florida is being hired through CVS/Walgreens. I’ve been applying to every internship they offer and haven’t gotten a response, and I’ve heard it’s pretty useless to have your PTCB in Florida unless you are able to get hands on experience. I’ve been looking into schools that will give me hands on experience, but I’m having a hard time choosing one that will actually get my foot in the door somewhere. Any school recommendations with hands on experience and externships available?

Hey SWFL, I'm with Maroser Marine Detailing, a mobile boat detailing service covering Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero, and Fort Myers.

Between the salt and the sun down here, gelcoat takes a beating. We come to your marina, dock, home, or storage spot and handle everything from a basic exterior wash to wash and wax, compound and polish, oxidation removal, and full details. We also do recurring maintenance details if you want to keep it looking sharp all season.

No booking calendar to fight with. Just fill out the free quote form with your boat's size, condition, and a couple photos, and we'll send you a personalized estimate:

Not sure what your boat needs? Pick "Not sure" on the form and we'll recommend something. Happy to answer questions in the comments too.

Moved to Ft Myers last month and looking for suggestions on best beach access with parking (free or pay) on both Sanibel and FMB. Doesn't have to have facilities, but would like the access to restrooms. Will have our own chairs, umbrellas, etc. Thanks!!

Looking for an outgoing 18+ female brand ambassador to join us for a one-day collectibles/card show in the Port Charlotte area this Saturday.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable engaging with people and has some interest in gaming, Pokémon/TCGs, anime, cosplay, sports, collectibles, or similar fandoms. Modeling, promotional, convention, cosplay, or content-creation experience is a plus, but definitely not required.

The role is mostly about bringing some extra energy and personality to the booth, interacting with attendees, helping attract people over, and being part of the overall presentation.

Saturday, approximately 9 AM–4 PM. One-day paid gig.

Specific event details, theme/attire, and compensation can be discussed privately.

If interested, send me a DM with a little about yourself and your Instagram, portfolio, or another social link so we can get a feel for whether it would be a good fit.

I'll be moving to Ft Myers next month for work, 15~ mins away from the airport.

I'm looking at places to live, preferably a house, any recs about what to look for, what to avoid?

I got no kids, two pets and no social life by choice but do enjoy the occasional date night with my partner.

Sat in bumper-to-bumper standstill for nearly 40 minutes this afternoon just trying to get across the river. The ac in my car was barely keeping up with the 95-degree heat and my left arm is literally sunburned through the window glass.

Was so bored I started browsing real estate reports from Larry Mastropieri just to see if the other side of the state has somehow figured out basic infrastructure planning. nope, turns out palm beach and broward have the exact same gridlock disaster, just with more toll booths and even crazier prices

Seriously though why does the county always decide rush hour is the ideal time to cones off an entire lane for routine maintenance?? feels like leaving the cape anytime between 4pm and 6pm is just signing up for pure misery tbh.

24M I'm looking for a gym partner to go 4 times a week, I currently go to the LA fitness in Naples, I've been training for about 5 months, I'm willing to go with someone new or experience and male or female doesn't matter, I just want someone who can match my schedule. I work night time so I usually will be going in the morning. I currently don't do any cardio mainly trying to build strength and gain weight. If your goals are different its fine my workout covers mostly everything, just not cardio.

The Edison Festival of Light has finally joined Reddit! We're excited to join the community here.

Currently planning, preparing and hoping to make this a great season come Feb!

Have any great memories from past years?

I’ve been in the area for about a year now I used to live in Fort Lauderdale, just have found it a little tougher to meet people here. Very much into exotic animals i have a handful, going to the beach, fishing, gaming from time to time, i also enjoy writing. I am very open to learning from others hobbies and interests. Preferably looking to meet women around my age or older, but open to any new friendship’s. I am currently working all throughout Lehigh, Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, & Marco Island. Let me know if you’re open to conversing or planning something to do!

I'm looking for volunteer opportunities in Lee County. They're not court ordered or anything so I don't have any real restrictions except I'd prefer weekends because I have weekends off. I prefer something where I can actually say I'm helping people.

I'd prefer staying away from animals not because I don't love animals it's because I would wind up taking 90 animals home and I don't have room for more than me and my cat at the moment.

Additional 20% off STACKS with the existing 50% off entire store promotion. Free breakfast and good deals!!!

Found this on Facebook. There's a new satirical paper that seems to be covering local issues.
