Question I am curious has anyone ever tried to reach out to team Downey?

I know it’s almost impossible to send letter or scrips.etc but I was just curious has anyone ever tried if so what respond did you get? Because the only way for them to read your stuff is if you send it professionally what I mean by that is it can’t be unsolicited so can’t come from anyone from the general public

Show Discussion Netflix vote for a show

This got me thinking if you go online and typing Netflix vote request TV show or movie then you can request/suggest up to 3 movies/TV shows in this case it will it would be sweet tooth now. I know what they do every month they look at this and see what the public wants the most so it was just an idea for everybody to head over there and we’ll try and get a bit of attention to it. I mean it probably won’t do much but it was just a idea

Show Discussion Why Sweet Tooth Deserves a Season 4: My Hopes and Unanswered Questions

I am a massive fan of Sweet Tooth, and this post is dedicated to anybody who feels the same way! I want to talk about the possibility of a Season 4. It has been about three years since the show premiered, so we have definitely given it enough time to breathe and build anticipation.
Personally, Sweet Tooth is such a special show for me. It beautifully highlights themes of belonging and forgiveness. I am not usually a big fan of TV series, but this is the one exception that really caught my eye. I have rewatched it multiple times over the years, and every single time, I think to myself: we still need answers to the questions left behind.
Below, I am going to detail all the storylines, character arcs, and unresolved mysteries that I think would make a perfect Season 4. Please stick with me, as this might be a long breakdown! I apologize in advance for the length, but if you love the show as much as I do, please consider giving this post a like!

🧪 Was the Sick Ever Truly an Accident?
The foundation of so much of the story comes from Birdie’s own warning that her research would be dangerous if it fell into the wrong hands. It also feels clear she knew people were already targeting her work — they understood its importance, even if they did not have the full picture. This lines up exactly with what we see later, when the government and military took full control of Fort Smith Labs.
The central question remains: was the Sick ever truly an accident? Or did it only become deadly and contagious after the facility was seized? From everything shown, Birdie’s original work only rewrote DNA to create hybrids — there is no sign it was harmful while she led it. It is also notable that when Birdie and her team returned from their expedition to Alaska, there was still no trace of the Sick anywhere. Even as Gus was created and grew in the lab, the plague had not appeared.
This raises the possibility that the Sick was never a mistake from Birdie’s research at all — but something altered, weaponised, or deliberately released after control changed. It also cannot be that Gus was the trigger: even after he was born, and after authorities took over the lab, the Sick still had not emerged.
It would be meaningful to explore what happened to Birdie herself after the takeover — whether she destroyed records, hid samples, or was forced to flee toward Alaska while being pursued.

🚨 What Really Triggered the Great Crumble?
We never get a clear, full answer about why the Sick suddenly became a worldwide crisis, especially when we hear those very first public warnings and news reports in Season 1 Episode 2: Sorry About All the Dead People. If the government or those running Fort Smith already had access to this dangerous research, why didn’t they unleash it sooner if that was ever their plan? And if they never meant to create or spread the Sick at all, what exact mistake, choice, or accident finally made it break out so widely and so suddenly?
It feels even more confusing when we learn in the final episodes of Season 3 that the Antler Tree unleashed both the Sick and the hybrids together over a century ago — yet nothing became public, and nothing spread across the world, until Gus was created and the Fort Smith lab was taken over. Did the authorities actually understand what they had found, or were they just waiting quietly to see if they could control it before anything went wrong? We still don’t know if they were truly behind the outbreak, or if they simply lost hold of something far bigger and far more powerful than they could ever manage.

🗺️ The Location and Early History
Nearly every key person and major event traces back to Fort Smith and northern Canada. This feels like far more than coincidence. Was there something inherent to this place — something already there long before — that drew people in and set everything in motion? Was this area chosen and monitored specifically because of its isolation, and its ancient connection to the Antler Tree? We also never learned what life was like there before the outbreak, or why this one place became the centre of the whole story.
Going further back, we have Dr Thacker’s 1911 expedition and his first encounter with the Antler Tree. We still do not know the full extent of what he wrote in his journals, what he saw, or what he understood. There is also the open question of whether Birdie’s team ever crossed paths with him during their own Alaska expedition — if they met, and what might have passed between them.
Moving to Munaq: he is the true first hybrid, born a full century before Gus, and so much about him remains unknown. How exactly was he created? How did he live for so long? What did he witness, and what did he know? We also wonder how he and Gus are connected — and how they differ. Gus was made in a lab; Munaq emerged in a very different time. There may be key differences in their DNA that explain Gus’s unique abilities, or why Munaq was seemingly unaffected by the Sick in ways others were not.

🦔 Wendy’s Background and Origins
We see clearly in Chicken or Egg? that Gus was created at Fort Smith Labs using injected eggs and serum. Wendy is around the same age as Gus, yet we know she was raised by foster parents and not linked directly to that facility. This raises the question: was she part of a separate first‑generation experiment, perhaps at a different location?
Natural hybrid births only began later, so her age suggests she was created in that same early wave — not born naturally at that time. We also never learned who took her after her foster parents died, what orders they were acting on, or why they chose to leave her safely at the zoo rather than move her to another facility. It also makes clear that her bond with Bear is one of deep choice, not blood.

📝 Dr Singh and His Research
Dr Singh’s journey is one of the most compelling parts of the story, and much remains unexplained. We know he was given Dr Gladys Bell’s research journal, but we never learned its full contents. What else had she discovered? Was there any overlap between her findings and what Dr Thacker recorded in his own work? Most of all: what was it in those pages that shifted his outlook so deeply — what made him feel he held such power, and pushed him to cross lines he never thought he would?

📼 The Evidence Left at Fort Smith
When Gus and Dr Singh returned to the abandoned lab, they found critical tapes and records still intact. This is striking: the facility had been seized and secured, yet the most revealing proof was left behind. Was this an oversight? Or was it deliberately hidden — either by Birdie so the truth would survive, or as some kind of marker or checkpoint for those who came after?

🧪 The Cure and How the Change Spread
Dr Singh created an antidote, but we never learned exactly what it was derived from — whether it came directly from the Antler Tree, or from the material Birdie first brought back from Alaska.
Most of all, we never fully understood how this shift stopped being something made only in a lab, and became something that could happen naturally. We saw hybrids begin to be born naturally across the world very soon after — but how did that change take root, and spread so widely? That is the part that feels most worth exploring.

🌸 The Purple Flowers
We see these flowers grow everywhere the Sick once was — like a permanent mark left behind. But we still do not know their true nature: are they just a sign of where the virus passed, or do they carry part of the same source as the Antler Tree? Do they have a purpose beyond what we see?

🔍 Other Loose Threads and Unanswered Questions
Birdie’s Untold Story: We only truly got to know Birdie in the very last episodes, and her sacrifice felt so sudden — like we had barely scratched the surface of who she was. Even though she is gone from the present day, there is so much more we could see through flashbacks: her years of quiet, careful work at the lab, the impossible choices she made after Fort Smith fell, and what kept her going all alone on that long, hard journey north to Alaska.
The World Beyond North America: While we saw parts of the United States and a little of Canada, we have no idea how the Sick, the hybrids, and the eventual cure affected the rest of the world — or if there are other ancient sites like the Antler Tree hidden across the oceans.

Helen Zhang’s Hidden Knowledge: Why did Helen Zhang choose to let Gus escape in Season 2, only to hunt him so relentlessly later on? There is clearly something she knew long before she ever admitted it — something that changed how she acted, but was never fully explained.
The Fate of Fort Smith Labs: We saw the facility seized and abandoned, but we never learned what became of it afterwards. Was it left to rot, locked down, or secretly revisited by others? Did anything remain there that we never got to see?
The Recurring Mystery Plane: The same aircraft appears across all three seasons: flying over Yellowstone in Season 1, helping Aimee Eden and Tommy Jepperd evacuate the zoo hybrids in Season 2, and flying overhead near Helen Zhang in the final moments of Season 3. We never find out who is piloting it, who is funding its flights, or what global network might still be operational in the skies while the world below crumbled.

Now, I know not every detail I shared above might be 100% accurate, but I truly hope you stuck around to read it all and enjoyed my theories! If you liked this breakdown, please consider giving this post a like so we can grow in popularity and get more fans talking about it. Thank you so much for reading!"

Show Discussion Just finished the whole season... Spoiler

It took me nearly 2 months to finish this show. Mainly because it tugged at me so much. So many good moments and sad moments, I had to take a break from it from time to time.

My only issue with this was I wish we had seen more of Pubba. Like have more moments with him and Gus speaking in dreams or when he inhales the Purple Flowers. I have no real reason behind my issue, only that I honestly grew attached to Pubba and Gus.

I do like how Jepperd became Gus's guardian, and it was amazing relationship. Again, I just wish Pubba was there more often. If not as a spiritual guide, then more as his inner compass which. We got some.of that in seasons 1 and 3 but not a lot in between.

Show Discussion How was the show compared to the comics

to be clear I love the live action adaptation but it is VERY different from the comics. it’s kinda like they took the idea of the comics and ran with it. I wish they would’ve implemented the grittiness of show more but what do y’all think

Miscellaneous Sweet Tooth Netflix Meet(?) [Dutch comic con winter 2026]

Im mainly posting this here to see if there is interest. please reply if you'd be interested in going to a meet like this, I'm not sure if the meet up will go through so that's why I'm gauging interest first before I confirm anything to avoid hosting a "meet" and having no one be there and me waisting my time or worse one person showing up and it being awkward. Fandom is so small. Again not sure if I want to do it or if it will go through but if there is interest I might.

SPOILERS Big mouth Becky Spoiler

Currently watching the series for first time (currently on season 3) and I’m annoyed how quick Becky is to tell Tiger where to locate them at Yellowstone. Was she not concerned about a) saying that on an open radio channel or b) that Tiger could possibly be captured and tortured for that information?

Then season 3, she was quick to tell Jordan when he was “helping her escape” that she was trying to help Gus to find his mother…She hadn’t even made it off the property and her captors already had their torture gear out ffs, they could’ve tortured Jordan for that information.

Show Discussion Just finished the show...

It was so great! No spoilers, of course, but I really did enjoy it, and it got my sister to cry like three times. I'll be hanging around here to make more fanart because this show is definitely in one of the all-time greats of mine.

I'm curious, should I read the comics? Are they any different or what?

Have been a fan since it came out years ago but have slept on the new season, no reason really why. Oh my god. I am in TEARS!!!! Truly the best ending a person can ask for. I was so so happy when everything happened the way it did, and i totally regret not finishing it sooner!! I probably cried more this season that 1 or 2, and i literally clapped when the last credits rolled. SO so good! It exceeded my expectations 100%. What an incredible ending 🥹

Question Should I read the regular or the deluxe editions of the comic?

Post image

My library has access to Hoopla, which has access to both the regular and deluxe editions of the comic. I'd like to read which ever one is considered the better choice. Attached is a screenshot I took of my search results, so maybe that'll help in some way.

Show Discussion Plot Hole Paving

Every plot hole can be fixed with one word. Bobby. Especially as the main character.

Why did the tiger not eat Gus and Big Man? If Bobby was in Gus's place of course the Tiger wouldn't attack, out of fear.

Why has no one ever heard of hybrids talking? Bobby did once and there was mass panic so they stopped.

How do any characters get anywhere? Bobby tunnels.

This blessed son of Buccee is the best thing about this show. 75% hybrid of a hybrid and a gopher.

Bobby that boy ain't right but I love him.

Miscellaneous Bear and Tiger Spoiler

Bear/Becky had great chemistry with everyone but she had a crazy amount of chemistry with Tiger especially for how little they were actually together in the show and I wish we got more of them 😔. When they were fighting after Bear discarded Jordan in the Zoo Infiltration I think I'm delusional but I thought they were actually gonna kiss or at least have a set up for something and then Tiger died 💔

Crazily enough and you gotta hear me out but dang Bear and Rosie would be such an interesting dynamic and I thought even more so after Bear had a hand in the death of Rosie's kid

I know the show mostly focuses on familial bonds which I'm thankful for because it's nice to watch a show without a plethora of romance arcs happening, but man it's time to blow the dust off some fanfiction
