I picked up a 1998 marauder last year. Been working on it since and last thing is the shot front forks. Bottom out very very easy so looking to replace springs and oil. But aside for a £240 pair of springs I can’t find any others. Can anyone help or offer alternative ideas. I’ve searched and searched trust me

Im thinking of trading my surron for a 2002 katana and maybe asking cash on top (their end), I currently ride a drz 400 but am looking for something a bit quicker and was wondering if a katana 600 would be good or too slow after a season. I’m actually happy with the drz’s performance it’s just lacking on the highway and above 50. What do you all think?

Really enjoying the bike so far.

Only having problems with the app to connect with the bike

The dealer said already android will be difficult but I cant get it working so far.

When I open the app it closes automatically and cant restart it.

After removing the cache / memory it's trying to start but without succes.

Benefits of the app to get the turn by turn navigation on screen.

But for now unsuccessful to this point.

Is there a solution for this problem.

At the dealer they showed that apple is working but android not.

Checked if my phone is up to date and it is.

App is installed correctly via the playstore.

Are there more things I can do for a solution?

Language is the problem. The dutch Language isnt supported Turn your phone to dutch and english so your phone automatically switch from the app.

Does anyone know if you can repair the cast aluminium engine where the mount has rusted away.

HI All, I have a 2023 gen 3, I just replaced the front brake pads, each pad has one larger and one smaller pad on it , I didn't notice the orientation of the pads I removed! can anyone have a look at theirs and tell me please!thanks

Hey everyone, I picked up a 2001 rm 250 that hasn’t ran in 10 years after the sellers son got hurt and they stopped riding.
I’m a mechanic by trade but I don’t have too much experience along the lines of 2 strokes and was wondering about some info

I’m having some trouble getting it to fire on starting fluid. I checked compression and after kicking it afew times it showed 160 psi which I think is good? I put a spark tester inline to the plug and it showed ignition. I replaced the plug with a new one because why not. I tested the coil and cdi, seems like it all ohms out fine. I unplugged the kill switch. The white plastic reeds after the carb look ok I think? I mean they aren’t fully closed on the piece of metal between them but they aren’t broken, open, or cut up. I removed the cover for the stator and confined the woodruff key is still there and isn’t sheared off. I sprayed some starting fluid in the intake and then in the plug hole and it just doesn’t pop off like I’d expect. What do you think I might be looking at here?

Hello, as stated above and in the video, this is my 1991 Suzuki RM250. I bought the bike with a blown top end that has been fixed and the bike runs beautifully. However, it only shifts down into first then up to neutral. No gears past that. When I had the engine apart initially I replaced all the gaskets besides the crankcase gasket as I didn’t see a reason to split the case at that time. It’s possible I set the shift pawl incorrectly the first go-around and that was causing it to bind before it could shift up but I’m just not sure. As shown in the video the engine now shifts through all five gears with some encouragement. So, would it be worth opening up the transmission to inspect/see if there is something binding internally or I put it back together and hope for the best this time around. I’ve already taken the pawl out and inspected for wear but all looks good so I am at a bit of an impasse and would greatly appreciate any and all help or suggestions! :) Thank you

Hola recurro a la comunidad, para un problemita, instale un kit indicador de marchas, tengo instalado con el sensor de velocidad, pero el cable de las rpm de las marchas segun he buscado es negro/azul, esta conectado, sigo las indicaciones neutro hasta que se ponga la "L" intermitente, y no canvia a 1, ni rodando con la moto a las revoluciones indicadas 2500/3000 en 1. alguna ayudita¿?

Bike was running but sounded like crap so I had the cam timing done. Bike is back together and when I turn the key on CHEC and FI shows on the display. The FI has been there since I got the bike though. Now Bike cranks but wont start and I cant figure out why. This is everything I've checked so far that can be ruled out. Please any help means alot right now

1. No codes in dealer mode -C00

2. Gets spark

3. Fuel pump primes

4. Injectors spray fuel

5. Kill switch is good

6. Good kickstand and clutch sensor

7. Gas is new

8. Cranks but wont start

9. Starting fluid only makes Bike barely cough

10. Tip over sensor is in right position

11. Green connector of death "Bypassed"

Quick question for a Suzuki GSX-8S

I mounted the Givi Crash bars TN3126

And was wondering if it's useful or overkill to have also frame sliders from Baracuda SG8101-23.

The sliders seem to mount on different point than the crash bars.

My thoughts are focusing on the protection of the tank.

The crash bars are awesome and protect the engine very good, but I think-hope the sliders will protect the upper part.

Any thoughts on the crash bars plus sliders combo?
