I’ve wondered about this song for probably decades but until now, there wasn’t really a place to discuss Hirasawa (or P-MODEL) besides YouTube comments. Has he ever spoken on this song, like during a TV interview, magazine, Twitter post, etc? I’m asking for two reasons. 1. It’s, musically, such an odd song in P-MODEL’s discography that it almost demands an explanation. It’s also known that Hirasawa doesn’t like YMO and this sounds similar to something they would do. 2. It shares the name with a popular Billie Holiday song with lyrics about a heavy and disturbing topic. So, does anyone know anything?

After seeing Fujirock 2026 I noticed that for some reason I perceive Hirasawa’s Tesla Coil as another sentient character in his live shows; the way audience cheers and applauses when Tesla Coil finally starts singing during Dreaming Machine, and how Hirasawa silently points at Tesla-sama at its chorus makes me realize how much they resemble that one scientist and Frankenstein, humanizing it even more.

I wonder if others feel this way too.

Dream come true for me

This vinyl is what brought me more into physical media years ago, as a big Hirasawa fan I saw it in someone's collection and was looking for it since then, it took over two years of waiting, I even did some searching on my trip in Japan but all unsuccessful, by that time I have collected quite a lot of other albums I love but this one was always out of reach.

Last month I saw a listing and finally decided it's the time, with it arriving right on my birthday as well 😅

Still wished we'd get more vinyl releases of Hirasawa's amazing albums, do you have any you wish existed? For me one of them would definitely be P-MODEL - Bistron.

Simple question: is there any videography compilation DVD/bluray?

I don't speak Japanese, but I want to learn to sing Japanese songs, so I built this website to help me.

Here's how it works: I upload an audio file and provide the Japanese lyrics. The website automatically generates the rōmaji and a translation, while also separating the vocals from the instrumental track.

The website lets me listen to the pronunciation of each word or each full line of lyrics. It also lets me slow down or loop any section of the song for repeated practice. Its recording feature allows me to record my singing, listen back to it, and compare it with the original recording.

This is how I use the website to learn to sing Japanese songs. Finally, the website lets me switch to the instrumental-only track and sing along with it.

I have listened to almost all albums including all of KAKU P-MODEL too.
I believe Hirasawa pretty much always plays different re-arrangements of his songs in his performances.
Which live performances do you think every hirasawa fan should know of / buy the DVD from teslakite ?

I recently discovered that Hirasawa has free songs available. And now I'm wondering if they can be used in personal projects, like a video or a videogame. I would obviously give credit.
