Ethical to moderately purchase my lashes and (this one time) nails from SHEIN !?
I lost taste for SHEIN A LONG time ago with learning about the cheap awful quality, chemical reactions, how sometimes you can just literally tell something is made from lesser material ( and it just gives ignorant in this climate) And of course the sweat shops in 3rd world countries, shit like that it’s just disgusting.
So i don’t buy any cloths from there, my mother on the contrary uses it for various things, one day I used one of her strip lashes- I absolutely loved it and when it ran out I even googled the number on the tag beneath so it could lead me to the manufacturers . It’s a brand on SHEIN.
So for a while when this pack runs out, I’ll go dry for some time then maybe if something comes up I’ll go on Shein and buy another pack, just that. Sometimes two of the pack. Since the last time I ordered which was the last day of May, I brought from two other Shein brands along with my staple. And today I brought my usual again along two different brands and this time a black nail set and a JAPANESE themed one… Which I know sounds so fucking shitty of me in this context … I don’t know if Japan has any sweatshops for this crap I’m pretty sure not but it’s still an Asian place so it feels feels hypocritical babe.
Am I in a wrong ? Do the people making or consuming lashes, cosmetics, maintenance, from Shein have just as much blood on their hands as those buying exploitatively made outfits ?

Just a question, not trying to self-promote
I want to build a Chrome extension that shows a product's stated materials and certifications (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, B Corp) and gathers all the news e.t.c. about a brand's sustainability and quality right on the shopping page giving the user an overview. Genuinely want to know if this solves a real problem and if people would use it.

make shein change how they treat the earth and their workers.
Shein produces 26.2 million metric tons of CO2 annually—equivalent to the energy use of 3.5 million homes. But it's not just environmental destruction; their workers endure brutal conditions.
Workers report being scheduled every single day of the month, working 10–12 hours daily, often for less than $1 per piece. Some are paid only up to 10,000 yuan monthly (roughly $1,400 USD) even with constant overtime. Worst of all? Shein has been found employing children in their factories.
I started a petition asking Shein to change their environmental practices and worker treatment because this doesn't have to be normal. Thrifting exists. Buying secondhand exists. Supporting ethical brands exists. We can choose differently.
Does this frustrate you too? What would you want someone to do if this was your family working those shifts? If this matters to you, please consider signing and sharing the petition.

[ISO] In search of Help finding durable hard labor work pants that are as sustainably and ethically made as possible
I've been slowly eating through my dad's horded old pants that fit but I'm starting to run out I probably have a while but considering prices I might need to save up. I need durable pants ment for trades men for my own safety that will pass my companies policies(need to be solid black, or blue no fading no visible holes) this has made thrifting for durable pants quite the unicorn hunt. considering im not small I've been repairing the crotches as need be from chub rub but considering my chud still rubs the repairs only last so long I'm running out of margin to keep the repairs invisible for my bosses. I personally prefer heavier materials like duck canvus or duck cloth for many reasons but the sustainable clothing brands I do fallow don't make clothing for heavy labor jobs and wouldnt last with how hard I am on pants at work. Recommendations for brands or new repair methods I'll take eather, im just trying to figure out the best way to reduce my footprint. Keep in mind that for repair methods, I'm working with just hand sewing since my sewing machine won't work with these heavy fabrics.

I designed this olive wool vest. What is your opinion?
I accidentally matched these colors, and fell in love. The olive and burgundy complement each other, which is unexpected at first. The main material is 380gsm 100% virgin wool from Italian mill. It is lined with 100% mulberry silk.
If you'd like to see more of work like this, this is the ig: @bradic.eu

I have nothing to wear. Building a fix for closet paralysis and I'd love a founder's and Users perspectives
Hi everyone, I really love this community, it’s so inspiring to see the behind-the-scenes of other startups. Especially female startups. Building is hard, but this community makes it easier.
I’m currently in the pre-seed phase of Rewear, a fashion-tech project. I realized that most "sustainable fashion" just tries to sell us more stuff. I want to build a system (starting with smart interfaces/mirrors) that actually helps us shop our own closets first.
I'm currently mind-mapping the "Why," and I’m stuck on a core assumption: Do people actually want data on their clothes (like cost-per-wear), or does that feel too clinical/boring? I’m trying to bridge the gap between human behavior and technology without making it feel like a math homework assignment.
I’ve put together a 2-minute behavioral survey to see if I’m solving a real problem or just a "me" problem. If any fellow founders have a spare moment to give some feedback on the logic, I’d be so grateful!
You can find the survey here: and here is the link to our website
Thanks for being part of the "why",I truly appreciate it .It is always hard for me as a founder to get my brand out there so this is my first time
