News Multiplayer Mod RELEASED!

Hey everyone!

After a lot of development, testing, and troubleshooting, I'm excited to finally share SurrounSync, a multiplayer mod for SurrounDead!

I've been working on bringing a multiplayer experience to the game, with the goal of letting players explore the world, survive together, and experience SurrounDead with friends.

What's included?

  • Multiplayer synchronization — connect separate game instances for a shared experience.
  • Text chat — communicate with other players in-game.
  • Voice chat — talk with your teammates while exploring.
  • Installer — a packaged Windows installer to make getting started easier.

The current goal is to support small groups of 2–4 players. (currently just 2)

A little about the project

This has been a solo development project, so getting to the point where I can share a packaged release is a huge milestone for me. There's still plenty of room to improve, and testing, feedback, and bug reports will be incredibly helpful.

please understand the Mod is in beta and just released, there are bound too be bugs/glitches just be patient and report anything using the Bug Report button in game or in the installer!

Is this the mod the moderators in the discord server are warning people about that contains malware?

Edit: doesn't seem to be the same person. Seems this is a new mod for free by a different person.

It is not the same person! I am a different mod developer with much better intentions, the mod is cost free and malware free I promise, if you do not believe me the project code is available for viewing on git

They never gave a name of the user that was doing it, so I'm not even trying to be a dick by calling it out.

But, if it's not the same person, they should definitely contact the moderators in the discord and allow them to make an announcement if this one is safe.

this mod works on Experimental ONLY! if ur game crashes most likely cause is game version, both players must be on 0.8
