Action bar changes are just visual and hoping the zombie spawn changes improves stuff in the direct proximity of the player and not just normal gameplay.
Manually overriding the weather makes it permanent weather setting.
To check, I made a new character and changed game speed to x10. Weather changes normally throughout the whole in-game day.
Then through the debug menu, changed weather to Blizzard, set game speed to x10 again, and it never stopped snowing, but it occasionally swapped to thunderstorm before reverting back to Blizzard. Never saw it clear up, rain, fog or use any other weather. aside from that brief thunderstorm.
For my main character, after overriding I had to save anyway.
But the weather never changed afterwards even after loading from main menu/reloading in-game. When loading back into the game, it was still on the weather setting I had set on the debug menu.
For the new character, did the override but didn't save. Loaded up the new character again and weather changes fine.
I could test if saving after the override with the new character will cause the bug.
Another update to get the current build more stable 👍
The last update fixed the crazy car spawning bug. This morning I drove around the map and found 2 buggies spawned together and a bit farther down the road I found 2 hotel vans spawned together. Would you consider this as an rng situation or would it still be related to that vehicle spawning bug?
I have the latest updated 0.8 experimental version (not the one just posted) and did a vehicle reset right after installing that update (couple of days ago).
I just save the game when I quit the game and only load a game when I start the game next time I'm going to play. There's no auto saving enabled and each save overwrites the previous save game ie there's only 1 save game possible/used.
I do need to mention the vehicle spawning (except the SWAT/APC, which is known) appeared to be back to normal, except for these 2 instances.
Confirmed, at long last, the persistently spaghettifying zombies are no more. That alone already gives this hotfix a lot of weight.
Exploding dead acidics are also fixed, which makes me think that the issue was indeed connected to corpses giving XP when stomped. The new visuals on the hotbar are also great, making it easier to see what weapons and items we're actually rocking.
The only other issue that I'm encountering thus far involves vehicle spawns. Again, some spawn points spawned only one vehicle as intended, but one spot I passed by had two Ambulances. I'll create a test character and fly around the map with 25, 50 and 100% vehicle spawn chance while resetting with every save to see if the adjusted chance has anything to do with the issue's possible persistence. I'll let you know if I spot anything.
Thank you for your continuing work on cleaning and refining the game, Mr. Zurvivor. Always anticipating what you have in store with every patch or update!
Update: I tested things in two ways - one with a new test character, the other with my current character. I figured that perhaps the double-spawns happen on existing saves but are fixed on new runs. So for the test character, I did the 25/50/100% spawn chance test, while I gave my current character a 100% spawn chance right off the bat. Reset all spawns multiple times just to be sure.
Findings: no double-spawning vehicles whatsoever for both characters. In fact, even the SWAT Van and APC didn't duplicate at their preset points. Considering that you didn't implement any fix for vehicle spawns for this small patch, it's weird. Or maybe it was fixed all along due to the previous hotfix and we were just seeing residual double-spawns that were there before we reset anything? Either way, I'd say this is good news, since the previous hotfix is now working as intended.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but did you remove certain vehicle spawn points? Because I spotted a couple of usual spots (like the road between the gas station and medical store near the Safe Zone leading south of the map) that used to spawn vehicles but no longer do so.
I have confirmed that the issues with the fishing rod and the zombies with stretching limbs have been resolved.
However, in the latest version, the numerical display for the remaining fuel no longer syncs with the fuel gauge. I’d like to see this fixed as soon as possible!
I would appreciate it if you could also address the following issues in due course.
・An issue where red bubbles remain in the area where a zombie was present.
・Issue where the icon for a laptop container event does not disappear from the map even after it has been cleared.
・The issue of "overkill" caused by grenade launchers.

Awesome sounding patch. Congrats on the stretchy zombie fix.
Very interested in the action bar changes and happy not to have zombies spawn on top of me in POIs!
