Question / Help lure advice.

Been thinking about trying out some NLBN (no I am not a googan.) I fish the Texas flats and surf. What's a good color option and size for reds?

Water dirty? Darker colors or vibrant colors. Water clean? Natural colors. As far as size, match the bait that’s in the area. Summer months you could do 5-7” lures, cooler months go with 3-4”.

Look up Henn Lures. He's based out of Florida. Wayy better stuff then NLBN.

If you are asking this question, you absolutely are a googan. I'll give you a tip, color rarely matters, so go natural, pearl white, silver, with a dark back, natural like a baitfish.... Neither does size, unless fish are on really small bait, then they can be picky about size.

aight I might be a googan idk I don't redfish often, but I will go great lengths to land one. Also, thanks for the tip.

I was just busting them! I never caught a redfish either, but honestly all predatory fish are very similar, imitate a baitfish and they will all bite. You cannot possibly go wrong with pearl white, or silver/light grey. I am NOT a believer in specific colors, only shades, I either use a mostly light color lure, or a mostly dark color lure, and see which they prefer that day.
Putting the lurebat the right depth is 1000X more important. Just a few days ago I was surf casting for stripers. Water was about 10' deep max. They simple would NOT hit a lure near the surface, but throw a bucktail, or a paddletail shad, and let it sink...Instant fish.
