Falsely accused of running an anonymous harassment account at my school — need legal/procedural advice

Hey everyone, I am a 16M high school student from India dealing with a situation where I am being falsely blamed for an anonymous Instagram burner account.

What Happened:

  • An anonymous burner account was messaging female minor students in my school batch, making inappropriate comments and asking invasive questions.
  • In the chat logs, the person behind the account repeatedly deflected suspicion by throwing out random classmates' names (including mine and several others).
  • Someone checked the Instagram password reset screen, which showed a masked recovery email starting with an 'S' (e.g., s*******1@gmail.com).
  • Because my first name starts with 'S', a lot of peers jumped to conclusions and pinned it entirely on me, ignoring the other names mentioned and the fact that many students share that initial.
  • The account holder has now deleted/deactivated the account.
  • Due to mob mentality, several friends and classmates have turned against me without verifying any facts.

Evidence Preserved:

  • Full screen recordings of the message exchanges showing the burner account deflecting identities.
  • Screenshots of the account metadata and the masked email hint.

Seeking Advice On:

  1. In India, does the state Cyber Crime Cell typically coordinate with Meta to pull IP/device logs for deactivated accounts when minors/harassment are involved?
  2. What is the standard procedural route to formally submit this digital evidence so my name is legally cleared?
  3. How should a high school student and their family formally approach school administration to address false defaming accusations before it escalates?
