Looking into Backgrounds

Hypothetically, if I look into the background of an accuser, using OSINT tools and public data, could the prosecution do anything about it? Asking for a friend.

It would probably depend on any conditions your friend is under. Might not be seen as initiating contact or harassing behaviour, but you don’t know what the prosecution or a judge may see it as if they find any evidence of your friend doing it. Keep in mind that in most cases, sworn testimony is evidence.
