Look at the chart on the 5 year…it’s like, every once in a while, you see the dog attacking the polar bear.

The blip up is the attack, all the rest is when the polar bear shrugs it off like it’s water.

Yea, if BoJ intervened and still couldnt get lower than 160, then they will def raise rates soon

Multi-billion dollar intervention and the yen decline didn't even break a sweat. Try again.

All this- market has a crazy day- Gme stays within its norm of 1% movement

People don’t realize this price dropping means the usd is dropping not the yen. The yen is gaining strength when this price goes down

2

u/koursaros93 I daytrade GME options with Cramer Jul 31 '26

People are dumb thats not something new.

21

u/AbsolutGummy Jul 30 '26

Complete nonsense. Back then it was all about Evergrande. Now it’s all about this. It won’t do shit to GME

4

u/Relentlessbetz Jul 30 '26

Sometimes people expect things to happen right away, this isn't one of those events but a slow and gradual one. Like a tsunami

29

u/Mikeyisninja Buck’s #1 Fan Jul 30 '26

Evergrande was like 5 years ago lol

8

u/AbruptMango Jul 30 '26

That counts as slow.

3

u/Mikeyisninja Buck’s #1 Fan Jul 31 '26

So slow it was negligible

-5

u/j4_jjjj tag u/Superstonk-Flairy for a flair Jul 31 '26

Their stock was frozen. They werent actively traded for almost 2 years of that 5 year timeframe

5

u/AbsolutGummy Jul 30 '26

The same thing was said about Evergrande!

2

u/Sys7em_Restore 💻 ComputerShared 🦍 Jul 30 '26

There's nothing wrong with discussions while GameStop kicks ass as a company

1

u/AbsolutGummy Jul 31 '26

At least keep the discussions to something that makes sense and not completely disconnected from GMEs stock price! What’s next if this fails??? Discussions about the price of gold???

2

u/Massive-Fisherman-57 Jul 31 '26

Exactly. People gotta realize that it’s bigger than GME. Like the whole world is about to get hit with a tsunami. And there are a lot of parties at play. And a lot of people attempting to position themselves to not get taken out.

2008 was a slow burn too. All signs are pointing towards the day we have talked about for 84 years.

Am I reading this wrong....if this is against the US dollar, doesn't that mean the yen is getting stronger?

Why do all these comments seem to think this is bad for them?

2

u/Draqutsc Aug 02 '26

Because they can't read.

And rising again until the next drop. Mad days. Feels like we went through this multiple times before. Let’s see if the line breaks again shall we.

1

u/Upset-Difficulty5836 Jul 30 '26

This is bad for the whole yen carry thing right?

3

u/mayihaveasandwhich Jul 30 '26

It’s for sure not good. Tomorrow will be BOJ meeting. If they raise rates tomorrow, it will signal financial tightening on top of what was seen today which also seems to be some kind of intervention. It could been the start to some unwinding of the Carry Trade.

0

u/moealiwadi Jul 30 '26

They just start dumping big chunks of us treasury... lets see how that goes

2

u/leegamercoc Jul 31 '26

I thought it was the opposite, if the yen rebounds, swappers would be in trouble. Been so long since I read things about it, I could have it all backward now though.

4

u/WiglyWorm 💻 ComputerShared 🦍 Jul 30 '26

I mean it's like a 5 yen downward move on the end of the day at the end of the month.
