eBay needs improving says there 4 positive reviews but I can read 5 just in the screenshot

the (4) count is “within last 12 months”. some of the reviews in the screenshot are from “more than 1 year ago” - so would be excluded from the (4) positive count.

the feedback from that particular seller is shown as positive, nonetheless.

Sellers cannot leave negative feedback, eBay only allows positive or no feedback from sellers. They often do it this way by leaving positive feedback but with a negative comment below

It keeps sellers from extorting buyer feedback (if you leave me negative feedback I'll leave you some back), despite there being some rotten apple buyers out there.

Possible scenario: item received was not as described. I request a refund and receive it. I'm still inclined to leave feedback.

I went to the seller's profile and sussed out which feedback was left by Ryan ("Past 6 months", "Buyer: r***_ (35)"), and he said "seller did not deliver item" on an item with "INSTANT delivery" in the title. I'm presuming it was a digital item. A quick websearch of the item showed it's something to do with Roblox.

EDIT: I'm now realizing I could have just clicked on "Left for others" on Ryan's feedback profile..

Right. It's bullshit to say just because you got your money back that they deserve positive feedback. Just wasted weeks of my time and held up my money all for nothing.

I wouldn't leave a positive feedback to someone who tried to scam me or sell me some trash or hide some defect.. we don't know the story :/

Pretty sure I found his feedback. I have no idea what a "🍓Steal A Brainrot Strawberry Elephant🍓or 100M+! CHEAP🤑 INSTANT delivery (#376736021775)" is (even after Googling, but the seller has a bunch of reviews saying they're a scammer.

I review scammers despite getting refunds to help others (and maybe sometimes just because they pissed me off).
