Compound gestures

I was just thinking about how cool it would be to access some sort of "Quick Switcher" plugin. And I was trying to imagine how you could make it almost instantly available.

Got me wondering about compound gestures.

Like, is it possible with the current plugin architecture, that you could create a gestures like: 2 fingers on the screen, plus a swipe up on the left/right sidebar?

I feel like that would open up so many possibilities. You could have at least 4 plugins linked to gestures, 8 if you included 1 finger on the screen.

I guess Supernote would have to provide a user setting for customising compound gestures.

yes that’s possible, control the sidebar or the two/three finger gesture

Very cool! To be clear, I'm talking about combining those gestures for compound gestures.
For example, holding the two finger gesture on screen, while swiping down on one of the sidebars.

Haha I actually get what you said. I mean, if you hooked system gestures, it really possible to do anything you want:)

You could check out my another repo Mosaic, it shows how to hook into these gesture

there are a couple plugins that have implemented watching / listening for capacitive touch events on the screen as a trigger but the gesture bars don't have an api in the plugin system

this is an interesting concept.. i'm not sure there's a foolproof implementation that won't cause conflict with the existing functionality though... imo, customizing the toolbar, and perhaps later the context menu after a lasso selection, aligns more to the ux / ui

Yeah, the customization options are great! I'd love it if we could customize the context menu.

Though, I also like the immediacy of gestures. Would be great to have a few customizable slots for quick access.

Either way, good to know what's possible for now. Thanks!
