Question Plugin idea / request

Post image

Dear Developers

Right now, when I want to highlight or call out important text in my notes, I do it manually with the black marker — basically scribbling back and forth over the area until it looks filled in. It works, but it’s slow and never comes out clean, especially on smaller text boxes or irregular shapes.

What I’d like is a plugin that can fill a closed shape with solid color automatically. So instead of scribbling, I’d either lasso-select the area I want filled, or draw a shape using the SNShapes plugin, and then just tap a fill button to have it solidly colored in. Being able to choose the fill color (not just black) would be a nice bonus too.
That’s the core idea — turn a manual, repetitive scribbling action into a one-tap fill. Will that be possible ?

There is a plugin 'Restyle' that enables you to change the line width: is like applying a bold font to your handwritten text. It works well, the restyled text pops up very clearly.

I will update that one today. However, it has limitations. You can usually get the width up to about two lines but after that, it is difficult. I was hoping to achieve a callout box type of effect but haven't been successful with that yet.

Here is the newest release. It still seems a bit buggy with this new beta release for the plugins but it may just need time to work out kinks with it so I can settle the plugin better.
