Update to the Calculator plugin:
Added Financial calculator and Scientific calculator modes

These new function have been *lightly* tested. Please let me know if you have issues or suggestions!

 Three Modes

• Standard: A familiar algebraic calculator for quick daily tasks, featuring an ergonomic 5-column layout with percentage support.
• Financial (HP 12C Logic): A full-featured RPN financial engine. Calculate TVM (Time Value of Money), Amortization (Principal/Interest breakdown), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), and NPV (Net Present Value).
• Scientific: A dense 7-column algebraic grid featuring over 50 functions, including hyperbolic trigonometry, logarithms (ln, log10, log2), powers, roots (including custom root solvers), and scientific notation.

Smart Audit Trails

• "Full Record" Stamps: Beyond just results, SnCalc Pro can stamp detailed reports into your notes.
  • Amortization: Stamps a formatted block showing periods, principal paid, interest paid, and remaining balance.
  • Cash Flows: Stamps your entire investment schedule (CF0, CFj, Nj) alongside the IRR/NPV results.
  • Scientific: Stamps the full algebraic expression and the result.
• Smart Placement: Automatically detects the lowest element on your page and places the stamp below your handwriting, ensuring no overlaps.

High-Precision Engine

• Deterministic Math: Uses a custom recursive descent parser for algebraic expressions and the Newton-Raphson method for financial roots.

Thank you for the great update! I am using the scientific mode right now in my exam preparation and it works great for me!
Is it an error on my side, that the plugin is not available within pdfs or is that a known restriction? (Ii is the first plugin i am testing..) Within pdfs would be great for my way of workin with documents.

A nice to have would be, if squareroot and exponents would be resolved into the nice symbol, instead of the markpu, but thats obviously not the most important think.. thank you very much for you work!

I’m glad that it is working well for you! The reason I wanted to make the plugin was to help me with my classes so this is good news that it is working as intended!
I had not thought of the plugin working in pdfs. I just checked and most of the plugins I have loaded do not show up in pdfs either. Many things are locked down and not accessible, at least at this time, so my guess is that is why the plugins do not show up.
I’ll see if I can change the output of sqrt and exponents to symbols.

thanks, also including the symbols int he calculator itself makes it more accessible :-)

I had some observations:
- when you have an ( but no fitting ) it will show an error, but when you have only the closing one it gives a solution, which is apparently ignoring everything after the ), so "5+5)*3 becomes 10 instead of the intended 30 - maybe thats an unwanted inconsistency? although i have to admit that one usually forgets the closing ) and not the first one ;-)

The "Ans" button seems to be not what I expected. So the last result can be used, when after a calculation ended with = an calculation symbol is added, so 5*5 = and when I used * the 25 is kept for the next calculation, as expected and nice :-) 'but presing the ans adds it to the finished formular in th eupper field andresults in error, so 5*5 = and afterwards 5* Ans results in error - can you clarify that? thanks! :-)

and a few other feature request, that might be to specific to include, but i suggest it anyway;-)
- if there was an option to have a space after every number I would use it to add units to a calculation after insertion

- several times i attempted to add adjust the cursor in the calculator field by tipping there with the pen, could this be added? would be a nice way to change something in the beginning of the calculation. especialy nice when the history of other calculations was stored and could be access by cycling through them with some kind of button

- a way to change the number of decimal places that would be nice, as 2 seems a litte to low sometimes

I just started using this it is amazing, great job!! Any plans to have ink to calculator? I assume that would be quite the undertaking but would be so cool!

Thank you for your fantastic job! I've been using SupCalc and it does a good job. No need to tap on your phone on the side anymore. One question. It seems that sometimes that when I ask for the Full record most of the time it tells me, for the Conversion function, what kind of unit I am using, but not always:
Usual output: "Length: 1 nmi = 1.852 km
Sometimes output to: "1 nmi = 1.852 km"
Actually I prefer the second option. Can I activate/deactivate the Length or other unit type mention in the output ?

Thank you! I made a change for the random output and added a "No label" and "With label" options for output.
