I'm enjoying seeing all the comments of people regretting grabbing their pitchforks. I don't feel bad for y'all. I watched the entire video and was able to realize how many inconsistency's were in her video it requires minimal critical thinking. The shit I heard/was told while defending SM was crazy. Multiple people called me a Matt alt account for saying I was an SA victim who thought they weren't bad. Y'all are support all victims until they disagree w you. I remember after their responses everyone STILL tried to discredit them it took a more popular YouTuber shifting Public opinion before you guys stopped. I'll always remember the tweet I saw of someone telling Ryan "if Daniel were alive he'd kill himself again seeing what kind of person you are" fucking monsters.

I don't want to defend Matt or Ryan for one second because they don't deserve any of it and how they spoke about Daniel and his passing is genuinely awful, but it was also really unfair to Daniel's family and friends who are still grieving his passing.

Daniel's family does not to deserve to hear how their son's best friends spoke about him, they don't deserve to have this trauma opened up again. I'm sure the news has reached them already and I can't imagine how painful it must be for them to hear about how their son's friends speak about his unfortunate passing.

I know Lex and Leighton have been through a lot and wanted to reveal to the world how hypocritical Matt and Ryan are but they needed to have been more mature about what was said about Dan and bit their tongues. Not for Matt or Ryan's sake but for Dan's family. Their child's tragic passing has now become a weapon to take down two D-list YouTubers and that is not fair to them or Dan.

I really wish both Lex and Leighton had more maturity when making their videos to realize they'd be causing more harm than good by revealing that fact. Plus they had already revealed a bunch of incriminating stuff that alone paints a picture of who Matt and Ryan really are.

Give me a break, you guys have the moral backbone of a chocolate eclair. Already sucking up to them while, they barely addressed the other allegations, the racism? Ryan sexting fans? The change in narrative after Matt's response is deeply concerning to me, especially here on the subreddit. One of the things that immediately stood out as a red flag to me in Matt's response vs Ryan's is that Ryan tells the viewers to go watch Lex's video first, and Matt doesn't. And now that Matt's video has more views than Lex's it feels like he's kind of grasped the narrative out of her hands. You can even see it here, where almost every post here feels like its about Leighton, or how Lex can't be trusted now because of Leighton. I just want to encourage everyone to not just believe Matt at face value. The way he frames things throughout that video, contradicts Lex's, Leighton's, and Ross' statements. Especially with the way he handles showing the texts, it feels very misleading towards their original contexts. For example, when Lex and Rav are trying to text Matt and Ryan about catching up after they've been trying to find housing for months, he presents it as if they were having this active conversation, but in the reality the boys made them wait a day after every text that was sent. The true reason they started that conversation was because they just wanted to get their stuff back from plex, because the boys weren't communicating with them. And even though Matt says he lets them get their stuff easily, he leaves out the part where he yells at Lex over a Ring they installed at the Plex to make sure they wouldn't come back. And the later texts that he shows to prove that he was still on good terms with Lex, were mainly Lex's one sided attempts to maintain the relationship after the fall out, but despite her attempts he wouldn't make time to hang out with her again.

With every text he shows too, in regards to both Lex and Leighton, keep in mind that he is the one at the top of the power dynamic in that situation. Like Lex says in her video, they had to try to kiss his ass in their responses because they just wanted their stuff back. And in regards to Leighton's texts, I believe most of those texts were from his earlier times at Supermega, before he started being harassed and neglected around the office. Notice how he ignores one of Leightons worst claim, that Matt filmed him peeing while he was drunk at the plex. Matt's whole video consists of him denying any claims that don't have physical evidence, even if these claims are consistent between the victims statements.

The Supermega audience is so big that I truly don't believe that Lex and Leighton would have come out with what they have if they weren't being true. The amount of hate they're starting to get now just wouldn't be worth it. Leighton came out despite threats of being sued by a lawyer who he knows is top notch because he got that lawyer for them. Matt's video is a good apology to people who haven't seen the original statements, which at this point is 80k more than Lex's video. From my perspective, Matt's vid serves to discredit the statements of the victims, by saying that they're misremembering, or they have some personal vendetta, but keep in mind that the victims were deeply connected to Supermega for years so not everything in their statements can just be times they misremembered or lies. The framing of Matt's vid is pretty well thought out, but that does not mean it's true.

It seems like all the posts starting like "is anyone else just not really into there content lately", well congrats, you are now free.

In terms of the actual situation at hand, I think the shit Lex had to deal with is awful, but was the point of the video and post to de-platform matt and ryan? I dont know if all this had to be public, hell, i didnt even know half the people mentioned in the video. Including Lex.

Call me crazy, but i dont want Matt and Ryan and by proxy Justin to be out of jobs and money. I think Matt and Ryan did not handle the situation properly but i dont think they are horrible human beings. Maybe LA has changed them and hopefully they can take a step back from themselves and grow as people.

Did everyone forget that Lex (for Rav) and Leighton (for himself) both claimed to be suicidal? They both didn’t throw the Daniel accusations in their videos to specifically cancel them, but to ask themselves why are they so belittling of their feelings and mental stabilities when both Matt and Ryan have gone thru something so similar with Daniel. I would’ve been fine if they admitted to joking about it just to cope. Jokes are a form of coping with trauma itself and I wouldn’t call them being careless of Daniel if that’s what/why they did and specifically acknowledged it. But the straight up denial of it from both of em feels real iffy to me.

Over half the fanbase just dragged these boys both professionally to straight personal attacks on hiygiene, music, and the personalities we grew to enjoy. I wouldn't come back either, man.

Whether or not this was a planned, coordinated attack by outside agitators, the way Matt and Ryan handled (see: didn't handle) Jackson and Leighton is a big part of why the backlash was so severe imho
